Long Empty Highways

Lmao don't ask me what this is, probably wrote this a year ago and let me tell you, I sucked at writing back then 🥲 I mean I still suck now but last year was wORSE-

In the middle of the night and in a long empty highway, Nat was teaching Wanda how to drive a car. And much to her surprise, the other girl is doing pretty good.

"You're doing great!" Nat gushed, making Wanda smile in the driver's seat.

"You're a pretty good teacher" Wanda replied back, stopped the car in the middle of the road.

"Wait, Is the gas out? Why'd you stop?" Nat spoke out, confused. She swore, she had literally just refilled the gas.

"Nat?" Wanda asked quietly, then Nat hummed in response.

"I don't know how to say this but... I like you..." Wanda looked down, away from Nat's gaze as she fidgets with her fingers.

Natasha didn't think of it much- Wanda couldn't possibly like someone like her, Wanda probably meant as friends, right?- so she just replied, "Maxi, I like you too! You know that, right?" sending the other girl a sweet, genuine smile.

Now, who's gonna tell her. That's strike one for being an oblivious motherfucker.

"No- not like that um-" Wanda took a sharp breath, then continued, "More than friends, Nat. Ever since I first layed my eyes on you and your stupidly gorgeous face. And I know how you handle these type of confessions... You're probably not gonna talk to me later on but I just needed to say it..."

Nat was definitely shocked at the other girl's confession. She didn't say anything and just froze there, completely paralyzed. I mean, shit. She didn't see that coming.

Now Wanda is terrified, but at least Nat couldn't chicken out and run because they are literally away from the city right now, in the middle of a long endless empty highway. And as she looked over at Nat, softly looked over at the woman's features, she looked nervous? Scared? Wanda doesn't know, all she knew is that there's literally too many things to describe the other woman's expression at the moment.

Wanda mumbled, "Way to go, Wanda" on a verge of tears because she thought that Nat might think differently at her, or worse, Nat probably hates her right now. And she seriously didn't want that.

Then Nat turned to Wanda's direction, spontaneously kissing her. And as the other finally processed what was happening, Wanda immediately kissed back. Then putting her hands on the other girl's waist as Wanda had hers on Nat's cheek.

Fuck, Nat's lips were so soft as they looked.

Then after a while, when oxygen was needed. They both pulled away, as Wanda looked away blushing,

"It's okay, I've always wanted to do that with you" Nat smiled, held her hand up to lay it on Wanda's cheek, caressing it.

Wanda looked back at her, making them have an intense eye contact.

"Come here" Nat whispered against Wanda's ear, gesturing for the other girl to sit on her lap.
