Confessions

Wanda watched worriedly as the older girl walked past her, attempting to avoid the sokovian's presence.

Wanda's room is luckily on the same floor as Nat's, so they couldn't really avoid each other even if they want to.

You see, after years of living on the same roof as Nat, they were inseparable. They used to be the closest among all of them.

Until these past few weeks, Nat started to act odd towards Wanda- ever since Wanda spilled the news about Vision, liking her and said that she's cool with it- acting plainly cold towards her during training, and avoiding her after, the sokovian redhead noticed this and is undeniably sick of it.

"Nat" she called the older girl, who just ignored her and proceeded to open the door towards her room.

"Oh fucking hell" Wanda muttered, she really needed to talk to Nat, so she used her powers and closed Nat's door back, making the girl look back at her.

"What!?" Nat groaned, gritting her teeth.

"I wanted to talk to you"

"Then talk," Nat answered coldly while she crossed her arms.

"Seriously?! What the fuck is up with you in these past few weeks?! What did I even do to make you upset?!" Wanda exclaimed, confused about the older girl because she honestly doesn't know what she did, she just wanted to rekindle their friendship at least. She likes Nat, romantically, but she knew that Nat wouldn't like her back. However, she's okay with it, their friendship is a lot more important.

"You just fucking piss me off! That's why!" Nat snapped, lying- she never found Wanda annoying, she just figured that she needed time for herself to cope with things.

"Everything I do seems to piss you off these past few days! You seem to know how to make my time in this compound a living hell! I fucking miss you! You know how I feel about people basically shutting me out! Yet you still did it!"

"Oh? So you want a sorry? Then I'm fucking sorry, okay?! There's the sorry that you wanted" Nat sassed, rolled her eyes.

"Oh? So that's it?! After all those times of ignoring me?! I had no one, Nat"

"What the fuck do you want me to say!? A fucking whole ass essay of sorry's?!"

"No! But you could've at least try and talk to me! You know I'll listen to whatever you tell me! You're my best friend!" Wanda cringed at herself, calling the person that she liked, her best friend.

"You don't seem to understand about how I feel, do you..." Nat mumbled, looking down, avoiding Wanda's gaze, her voice was slightly cracking.

"Then make me, I promise I'll listen," Wanda said, now softly to the older girl. Months ago, she vowed to herself that she would be by Nat's side at all costs.

"You'll ditch that promise right after I tell you" Nat mumbled, but Wanda still heard it.

"I won't," Wanda said assuringly.

"No, I- you would. I know you would, I'm-" Nat insisted, shaking her head because she was sure that Wanda would absolutely run away after she reveals her secret.

"Nat, why is it so fucking hard to say what you wanna say right now?!" Wanda exclaimed, now clearly frustrated.

"Because I might lose you if I do! And I- I don't want that!" Nat reasoned back.

"You already did! Ever since you basically pretended that I don't even exist!" Nat's eyes widen at the sudden realization, she doesn't want to hurt Wanda, but she didn't realize that she already was doing it, she looked down.

Then an undeniably uncomfortable silence took place between them for a few minutes, but the minutes felt like hours, draining them both.

"Wanda, y-you don't understand, I can't tell you this..." Nat whispered, taking a step backward. 

"But why can't you?!" Wanda cried, tears streaming down her eyes as noticed Nat backing away, so she grabbed Nat's hand, preventing her from running away again.

"I just can't, okay?! Just give me a fucking break!" Nat jabbed her hand from Wanda's as she looked at Wanda's eyes, which looked visibly hurt.

"Nat, you literally ignored me in these past few weeks! And this is the only chance I got to talk to you because you won't even let me at least apologize during training!"

"Wanda, would you just leave me alone?" She pleaded.

"No, I can't! Because I know for the fact that you'll avoid me even more after this! Nat, I know you! You're my best friend!" Wanda mentally cringed at herself by calling the girl she's in love with, her best friend.

"That's the problem! Can't you see?! I'm helplessly in love with you, okay?! I fucking thought I could get rid of these feelings by avoiding you and pushing you away! But guess what? It fucking didn't!"

"I- I should've kept my fucking distance from you right from the start! It would've been much easier!" Nat frustratedly at herself, as she closed her eyes and let the tears fall.

"Every-fucking-time I see you with him, I get madder and madder at myself. And before you even ask why I love you, it's hard not to. I love your smile, I love your laugh, I love your eyes, I love your lips. God, I love everything about you. You're this perfect girl that everybody could ask for, Wanda. I tried to not feel these things whenever I'm around you but I guess it just happened..." Nat confessed as her voice got smaller and smaller while fighting off the urge to break down in front of the sokovian girl, she sounds so defeated.

"Nat, I- I don't know what to say..." Wanda felt so lost at the girl's outburst.

"I am so sorry, I should've kept my distance..." the Russian whispered looking down like a sad puppy, fighting off the tears that were desperately trying to leave her eyes.

"Listen, I'm not as perfect as you think. And besides, Vision and I are just friends, I'm in love with you too..." Wanda's face softened as she stared at the older redhead's blood-shot emerald eyes, surprised because girl of her dreams, just confessed to her. She stares at the older girl's lips, then back to her eyes as she held her hand up to hold the other girl's cheek, caressing it.

"... Can I kiss you?" Wanda asked, whispering against Nat's lips. Nat didn't say anything, instead, she leaned in, kissing Wanda softly and passionately.

A kiss that words couldn't describe how utterly breathtaking it is. Nat smiles at the kiss, making Wanda chuckle and pull out, staring at the sokovian's blue eyes.

She's been wanting this for months.

A few moments later, they are currently laying on Nat's bed, the two girls were talking about their perspectives- mainly just staring at each other's eyes lovingly- and chuckling at each other's obliviousness.

Nat sighed then whispers, "I'm sorry"

Wanda's head perked up, confused. Then she asked, "Why?"

"Because I hurt you... I never intended to do that..."

"Okay, I won't even try to sugarcoat it because it's true, you really did hurt me. But that's all in the past now, you just did it to cope with things. People intend to do things in their own way without even knowing if they could hurt others or not, I do it too, we all do, because we're just humans, Nat. We sometimes mess up things, and I forgive you, so please let's just forget about it?"

"I- You have no idea how much I love you right now" Nat sat up to give Wanda a peck on the lips.

"Well, you have no idea how much I love you right now"

"God, you just turned me into a sappy bitch"
