"Green, Wanda! That's green!" Pietro argued as he's pointing at the grass that was surrounding Sokovia's central park.

"What, no! It's gray!"

"Mama! Wanda said that the grass and the leaves are gray! It's green right?" Pietro called out their mom, who was sitting on the park bench while the two of her children were running around on the grass.

She smiles, then says "Wanda, your brother is right, it is indeed green"

"But mama, why does green and gray look the same? It's confusing!" Wanda said frustratedly.

Her mom was definitely worried for her daughter, wondered why her little girl insists that what she sees is indeed gray and not green. She had been noticing this ever since the girl learned colors in school, and often gets teased by it.

Will an eye doctor know what's the issue? She wonders, but trying won't hurt right? So she took her to an eye doctor the next day.

"Mrs. Maximoff, there's no issue here. Although, it is one of the pretty rare case that I assume, not the majority of people know. Experts had been studying with these type of cases where only the 10% of the population see gray instead blue, green, or brown in their visions, some even see monochromatic. But some of their visions had miraculously healed, no scientific explanation." The doctor explained.

"Is there any way to fix this, doc?"

"Unfortunately, we still can't figure out how. My apologies, Mrs. Maximoff"

Wanda remembers that day. She remembers when they came home and she hugged her grandma tight. She cried, thinking that she's strange and weird and not normal, like all those kids from school told her.

She remembers saying to her grandma, "Why can't I just be normal, grandma"

Then her grandma replied softly, "Why didn't you tell me, sweetheart?" embracing her to comfort her.

"Be-Because I thought you'll laugh at me too, everyone does!" She hiccuped, tears streaming down her from ocean eyes.

"Oh sweetheart, you remind me of myself" her grandma chuckles, making the blue eyed girl look up at her smiling abuela.

"What?" Wanda mumbled, she wonders about her grandma's words.

"I once was like you, except the color that I couldn't see was brown"

"What happened next? How'd you see brown, grandma?" Wanda eagerly asked, clearly invested, wiping the fresh tears on her cheeks, looking up at her grandma.

"Well... once I met your grandpa's eyes, they were brown and the next thing I know, I can finally see brown! And that's how I knew he was my soulmate"

Little Wanda's eyes lit up in fascination, hoping that she'd finally be able to see green like everyone does. Like a normal person.

Wanda still hopes for that day.

Little did she know, that day is today.

Steve was showing Wanda around the Avengers Compound- she had been recruited a week ago, introducing her to everyone. As always, she was nervous, she has always been this shy around anew set of people, she always had her brother beside her.

"Nat should be here at any second now" Steve said, smiling at Wanda, who silently nodded then looked down, nervously.

Then she heard an upcoming footsteps from behind, "Rogers, Newbie"

Wanda was still looking down at her shoes, then when she saw the woman standing infront of her she immediately looked up then locked eyes with the infamous Black Widow.

Just locking eyes immediately felt magical, like a wave of adrenaline rushed to her veins, making her wanna run away; she has a crush on the woman. But she just froze there, still looking at the woman's eyes, noticing the unfamiliar color of it.

Then her grandma's words hit her.

Her eyes widen upon the sudden realization, blushing at the thought that the one and only, Nat Romanoff, is maybe her soulmate.

"I- Uhm-"

"Oh, so it's you, huh?" Nat smirked, looking at the blushing sokovian girl.

"Y-yeah erm- I'm Wanda. Wanda Maximoff" Wanda stuck her hand out for Nat to shake but the older girl smirked and hugged her instead, even Steve was surprised by the way Nat was acting.

"I finally met you" Nat mumbled into the embrace, while Steve just stood there confusingly, looking at the two girls.
