"Oh my, I'm so sorry!" the male voice said. As he was bending down to help me collect my things, I could tell that he was from around here. His voice had a soft tone.

"It's ok, I should've been watching where I was going." I apologized.

I finally made eye contact with him. His eyes were the lightest shade of blue I have ever seen. And he was attractive, "nice going dumbass." I thought to myself.

"I can see you aren't from around here, you're from the states I'm assuming." He inquired." "I'm Louis." He reached out his hand to help me up.

"Stella. And you're right Louis, I'm from New York, I just moved in today." I reached over and took my things from him. "Thanks for helping me." I said nervously. Of course, while thinking he was attractive, I really wanted to make a good first impression so that I could have at least one friend so far.

"Well Stella, you picked a good place to get food from and a good place to live." Louis smiled. Damn he's got a nice one.

"That's what the bartender told me; I have really high expectations now." I exclaimed. "Have you always lived in London?" I was curious.

"No actually. I'm originally from Doncaster. It's about a couple hours away from here, on the northern end of the country. It's a wonderful city. My mum and sisters are still living over there. What made you make such a big move? If you don't mind me asking." He rubbed the back of his head. He looked like he might have just asked me the wrong question. We met only a measly five minutes ago and he was already inquiring about my life.

"I got a job promotion." I stated. "Back in New York I was struggling a bit considering the cost of living is so high. When I got word of the promotion, I knew I would be making more than ever before, and I could even spare a few extra dollars to spend on myself rather than throwing it all away on stupid bills." After my little spiel, Louis held out his hand.

"Can I borrow your phone real quick?" he asked. I handed it over to him after putting in my passcode. After a minute of him typing he handed it back to me.

'Louis Tomlinson (-:' the new contact read.

"I was thinking you and I could hangout sometime. You're new to the area and I figured I could show you around whenever you have the chance." Louis said, and I blushed at the gesture. Louis was being nice and it's nice knowing that I have someone living in the same building as me that I can hangout with.

"It would be a pleasure." I smiled. "Could we do Friday?" I was silently praying the answer was yes.

"Of course, 5 p.m ok?"

"Yeah, sounds perfect." I said smiling.

"I gotta go catch up with my mates, but I could definitely introduce you to them sometime." Louis said as he was starting to walk down the stairs.

"That would nice, I'm always down to meet new people."

"See you around Stella." Louis smiled as he continued his way down the stairs. I turned and walked up to the fifth floor to my apartment when I heard footsteps coming back up not long after getting the key in. Just my luck it was Louis. My next door neighbor is Louis.

"Hey, I guess I'll be seeing you a lot more often." Louis smiled as he turned the key.

"You bet, you came back quickly."

"I forgot my wallet, can't get far without that." He chuckled. My heart started beating faster after hearing that.

"Well I guess I'll catch you around Louis, have fun with your friends." I started to yawn.

"Have a goodnight Stella." He said before closing the down behind him to retrieve his wallet.

As I settled inside my new place I heard the door slam and feet rushing down the stairs which indicated to me that Louis finally left to go meet his friends. After my second encounter with him, I was very excited about seeing him Friday and possibly even before considering we are neighbors. Of all people to be living next to I'm glad it's Louis. It'll be comforting to see a familiar face all the time. After eating the best meal ever and watching some Netflix, the time was hitting me. It was only 8 p.m. but I was super exhausted. I quickly brushed my teeth and threw on an oversized shirt before crawling into bed. As I drifted off into a much needed sleep, my thoughts of the night were overflowing of meeting Louis. And I think I like him.
