I lie awake
Beneath sweat soaked sheets
As a great grey owl
Watches me from the shadowsThe keys jangle
As I scramble at the lock
To shut out
The common pest that wants to eat meornithophobia
Is about the only disease I
Am not medicated for and
Despite how much they tease me
I am still running for my life in that alley
