Norissa smiled. "Wonderful!" Come with me and I will take you to the camp!"

"Whose camp am I going to?" the girl asked.

"The werewolves!" explained Norissa vaguely.

"You mean, if I go with you, I'll find other people like me?"

Norissa nodded. A little spark of hope fluttered in the girl's stomach.

"Well, girl, aren't you going to tell me your name?" asked Norissa.

The girl shook her head. "I haven't one."

Norissa made a noise of acknowledgement. "I've always liked the name Eryn. No one in the pack has that name, so what do you say?"

The girl nodded eagerly, without hesitating. Norissa laughed with joy.

"Great! Welcome to the pack, Eryn."

Eryn followed Norissa through the forest. She was still adjusting to her new name. Gazing up at the stars, she also wondered what Leo would think if he could see her now. (She made sure to hold her hood on as she gazed up.)

Norissa whistled. Eryn looked up from the ground to see a den. Norissa beckoned her to the entrance of the burrow. She followed.
