The girl awoke to find that she had been unconscious. Also, to make the situation even less preferable, she had woken up with a dead rabbit in her mouth. Without even having to wonder, she knew why. She sighed. All she wanted was to be able to control the wolf inside her and be a normal person.
"Hey!"
She turned. Someone was walking toward her.
"What is it?" she asked. It was in that second she realized the woman calling to her was also wearing a riding hood.
"Are you a werewolf?" the woman asked.
"Yes," said the girl, slightly offended by the question.
The woman seemed to register the offense in the girl's face. "I'm sorry if I offended you, but I just wanted you to know that we are a pack of werewolves. If you don't have a family, you can join us."
The girl looked at the woman, trying to make a decision.
"I am Norissa. If you don't stay with us, that's fine, but you may tell me if you would like to stay and I will take you to our camp."
Having made her decision, the girl looked up at Norissa.
"I'd like to stay."
