[1 week later]
"Sooo... does that make your name Aizawa too?" Izuku asks.
"That tends to be how it works, yes" I laugh as he widens his eyes "What was it like growing up around a Pro Hero?"
"You have so many questions" I grin as i tap my quill on the table.
"Yeah man, let her breath" Ejiro laughs.
"What are you extras doing?" a gruff voice comes from a bit away.
I shoot out of my seat and lean towards him with my hands on the table "have you got the pictures?"
"Yes, calm the fuck down" he mutters as he walks onto the patio.
Me, Izuku and Ejiro are sat outside on their lunch break talking about things such as the modern world and hero work.
This is the most fun i've had in ages. The only people my age i'm surrounded by are my brothers so it's exciting finally knowing other people. Katsuki said he'd get me pictures of the city and i've been waiting in anticipation all day.
I gasp and find myself doing a small run around the table towards him. I stumble over my own feet a little in my excitement but regain my balance.
I watch closely as he pulls his phone out of his pocket. I get closer and cling onto his, might i say muscular, arm as i stare at him unlocking this device.
He jerks his arm away from me and i pout which causes him to roll his eyes. Soon after, he holds the screen up to my face and i scan the photo, taking in everything. Cars, bright lights, shops, people, the people in strange clothes, markets, big screens, people holding hands, people holding drinks.
"Wooah... may i hold your mobile device?"
"Just call it a phone, fairy tail" he snorts while using the nickname he'd created for me and hands over the phone.
I scroll through the pictures, admiring each one with joy.
Afterwards I glance up at him "I want to go there"
"I've said no for the past week, princess, just accept it" He takes his phone back and i sigh in exasperation.
"Ooookay"
I walk back over and take my seat, picking my book back up to analyse the rest of the poem.
He takes the free seat across from me on the 4 seater round table "the fuck are you doing?"
"Father told me i should keep up with my poem analysis because it will keep my brain sharp" I groan and don't take my eyes off of the page.
He nods "which poem"
"After the winter by Claude Mckay"
"Ohh, read it out loud again" Ejiro sends me a toothy smile and then nudges Katsuki "it sounds so pretty"
"Do i look like i give a fuck?" he glared at the red head but his eyes refocus on me as i clear my throat.
"Some day, when trees have shed their leaves
And against the morning's white
The shivering birds beneath the eaves
Have sheltered for the night,
We'll turn our faces southward, love,
Toward the summer isle
Where bamboos spire the shafted grove
And wide-mouthed orchids smile.
And we will seek the quiet hill
Where towers the cotton tree,
And leaps the laughing crystal rill,
And works the droning bee.
And we will build a cottage there
Beside an open glade,
With black-ribbed blue-bells blowing near,
And ferns that never fade."
"So well spoken, princess" the red head hypes me up and i thank him gracefully.
"Its so... girly"
"It's poetry, Katsuki" I sigh and place the book down, my hand finding my writing tool again.
"Dude, this shit is fucking olden times. Look you're even writing with ink and quills"
I frown "it is not my fault"
"I think it's cool" Midoriya smiles kindly which angers the blonde for an unknown reason.
"I think it's dumb. You don't even have a phone, you don't have access to the only TV in the palace, you've never been to the stupid city" he lists with an aggressive tone in his voice.
"Heyyy, Kacchan, calm down" Ejiro laughs awkwardly "it's not a massive deal"
"You see how sheltered she is? Does she even know what memes are?" He throws his hands around "all i'm saying... is her dad... is a bit of a freak. God forgive me, but he should let you have fun and do teenage things"
We all stare at him. I absorb every bit of frustration leaking from his pores and sigh "I see where you're coming from, but we all believe that my visions for the world shouldn't be clouded or influenced by certain aspects of life"
"Like i said, it's fucking dumb" he crosses his arms over his chest as he leans back.
Izuku clears his throat "well, it's the end of our break, we should get back"
"Yes, of course" I smile at them and wave them off. Katsuki is slower getting out of his chair.
"Thank you for your concern, Katsuki"
"Tch, who says i was concerned" he tuts and leaves the seat, avoiding eye contact as he re-entered the building.
I chew my lip and stare down at the page again. Maybe it is 'stupid' but it's what's best... right?
