The tour was almost over and Emma’s due date was coming up…fast. The tour was supposed to end on August 28th  and then I would be home with Emma for a week before the baby was due. Unless of course she had it early. She probably would just to spite me. She had been not so subtly telling me how much she missed me at home. I missed her too but touring was amazing. Why wouldn’t it be, I was traveling the world with my four best friends performing for millions of people.

“Harry?” Niall asked. I snapped back, I was in the middle of a concert I couldn’t just tune out like that.

“Yes?”

“What’s the next song?”

“The next song is…” I paused for dramatic affect and the crowd screamed. I smiled. “Why Don’t We Go There?” The crowd screamed louder and I looked at the guys. It didn’t get much better than this.

After the concert a man approached me. He looked young except for his black hair streaked with grey. He wore an expensive looking suit with a big watch. He smiled when he saw me.

“Great concert Mr. Styles.” He said, he had an American accent, somewhere southern maybe.

“Thank you.” I was still confused, why was he talking to me?

“My name is Miles Henry and I work for Turning Point Records. I heard you’re quite talented in the songwriting department.”

“I guess so.”

“Look at you, so modest. Anyways I’m always on the lookout for talented people such as yourself and I would like to make you an offer.”

“I’m not really interested..” I started.

“You’ll want to hear this. A starting salary as one of our  head songwriters is double  what you’re making now.”

“Double?”I said in disbelief. I wonder if he really knew how much I was paid from these concerts. Of course most of it went to my Mum and Gemma and cousins and charities and a secret fund I made for the baby, but that was still a lot of money.

“I can see you’re interested. Here take my card.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a card. I took it hesitantly.

“I’m not really interested.” I said.

“This is your last tour right? Wait a month or two after all this is finished, then we’ll talk.”

“I’m pretty sure I won’t change my mind.”

“Trust me, you will.” And with that he walked away, leaving me staring at the card wondering what the hell just happened.
