Chapter 9

Echo's Pov

We've been on the road for almost 20 hours after Riley and Jacob got into their first fallout. It was new for Jacob to lose his cool like that and it's new for Riley to express her love feelings for someone OUT LOUD!!! I was aware of her and Sonic's relationship, I could see it in their eyes that they loved each other! But at first I thought Jacob was a nice guy that I can tease a lot. But in reality, he's a douche bag! He is willing to leave someone injured or in trouble behind because he hates him! I guess they got into a fight, but still! FRIENDS HAVE EACH OTHER'S BACK And Jacob just BLEW IT!

Anyways as we took a turn to where the crash was, me and Riley saw several of those black cars and motorcycles at the site. I was was itching to get out of the car and beat the brains out of those morons, but for once I stayed put, but Riley in the other hand got out of the car and marched towards the man. "HEY!!!!" She screamed, "GET AWAY FROM THERE!!!!" She then started saying things that she never had said before, like for example, she told them to go to H-E-double hockey sticks!

But then I heard a painful yelp come from Riley. I looked to see that one of the men had shot a drug dart at her. She then collapses on the ground senseless before I could get out of the car and catch her. I was ticked off, but not just because Riley, for the first time, did something extremely stupid, but also because of these guys who were looking for Sonic and do God knows what with him and they shut my best friend with some kind of drug!

I was so ticked off that I sped towards the man and ran them over. I've always wanted to do that to them ever since they caused Sonic's accident. They deserve to be ran over. Then picked Riley's unconscious body and placed her in the backseat. I pulled out the dart that was pierced into her as I got back into the driver's seat and drove off as fast as I can.

I was only focussed on getting to safety until a red Camaro car slams into us. I was stunned in shock until I saw a black guy, about my age, with dark brown eyes come out of the car with a shocked look on his face. Me in the other hand got out of the car with a death look. I grabbed the spiky bat it started swinging at him only to be missing and slamming the spiky bat in his bright red Camaro car. "YO! CALM DOWN WOMAN!!!!" The black man screamed, "DO YOU REALIZE THERE'S A CHILD IN THE BACK SITE!?!?!?!?" I paused my rage episode when I looked in the backseat and saw a little boy with curly red hair and hazel eyes looking at me like I'm some kind of criminal. I dropped The bed and looked at the man with sorrow in my eyes, "I'm sorry." I said, "just my friend was shot Buy a dart and she's knocked out and I need to get her to medical treatment." The guy's brown eyes darted a glance at Riley before he nods and walks towards the car and took Riley out of it. "you look like you're on the run." He said, "you should hide your car." "where?" I asked. The guy placed Riley in the backseat with the little boy, who also helped her to get comfortable, before he walked towards my car and began pushing it over the edge of the dam—that's when I realize that something.....or someone was missing. "Wait!" I called, "My ex is in the trunk!" The man just gave me a disgusted look. "WHAT?!" He exclaimed, "you're crazy, woman!"

The man then opens the trunk where Jacob busts out, gasping for air. He quickly got out of the trunk and saw his car with a large dent into it. He was about to scream until I knocked him out again with my fist. The black guy just looked at me with disgusted eyes and and a dropped mouth. "don't ask...." I said coldly as I dragged Jake to the back of the red Camaro and stuffed him in the trunk. The black guy just shrugged and got into the car, followed by me, as we drove off to God knows where this guy is taking me and my friends.

Then the black guy spoke almost suddenly. "It's not like Dom or Roman is going to kill me for taking you guys in since Roman took in a blue alien who looked pretty banged up last night." That's the things made me flinch in shock. "HOLY GOD'S FLAMING EYES!!! SONIC!!!!" I screeched. The black guy swiftly turned to me when I said the hedgehog's name. "Sonic?" He exclaimed, "that his name?! Hgm! Weird!" "take us to him or I'll snap those chocolate coloured fingers of yours!" I threatened in my usual venomous tone. The guy's eyes were as wide as butt-cheeks. "Woman! you're—" "I know! I'm crazy!" I said with a proud look on my face.
