It was a late summer night in mystic falls and Josie and Lizzie were currently arguing in there dorm room.

Josie's pov:

"Lizzie, I told you that I'm not going to ask Penelope Park out first. If she want's me she can ask first". Lizzie rolled her eyes and chuckled "Okay Jo, we have been over this multiple times. Penelope wants to be with you, you just have to make the first move".  Josie sighed sitting on her bed "Okay, say that's true. How exactly would I do that?" Lizzie walks over to the slightly younger girl and smiles "That dear sister, is what I'm here to help with". Josie smiled at Lizzie as she began to ramble about the plan that she had come up with.

After a long explanation of the plan from Lizzie, Josie nodded her head, "Okay, so I ask Penelope to come to the docks with me tomorrow evening at around 7.30pm; where you and MG would have set up a romantic picnic. Then I ask Penelope to be my girlfriend?" Lizzie nodded "mhmm that's the plan" Josie smiled and shrugged "Okay, lets hope it works". The twins sat talking for a while longer until they both looked at the time, seeing it was late they both got ready for bed before climbing in bed knowing there father would be in to check on them soon.

It was now about 12.30am and Josie couldn't sleep. Sitting up, she stretched before quietly sneaking around the room; grabbing a hoodie and a book while trying not to wake Lizzie. Once she had both things, she snuck out of her room and tried to sneak past all the other rooms. Josie was looking around the corridor, making sure she couldn't see anyone when she tripped on the sleeve of her hoodie she was carrying. "Shit!" she whispered, hoping that whoever's room she was outside of hadn't heard and was sleeping. Standing back up she stayed quiet, seeing if she could hear any movement inside the room, of course she heard nothing, looking at the door number she sighed speaking quietly to herself "Of course, it's Hope's room". She continued sneaking through the school until she reached the main door leading out towards the lake.

Once she was outside, she started walking towards the Docks. She had done this multiple times since she was 14, and every time she felt the same: Like someone was watching her. It wasn't a bad feeling, however it just felt strange. Josie always assumed it was because she had to walk through the woods, and never really gave it a second thought. Once Josie finally reached the lake, she looked up at the moon smiling. She loved the sight of it, it made her feel connected to nature. Being a siphon witch, she has never really felt connected to the elements and the earth. Sitting on the docks, she opened her book and began reading; using the lamp at the end of the docks to illuminate the pages. After about an hour of reading, Josie's eyes started getting heavy. Before long she had drifted to sleep.

Hope's pov:

Hope was laying on her bed, reading through another book she had borrowed from the library. She spent most of her time alone as she didn't like socializing much. It was getting late and she had not realized that she had been reading for hours. Sitting up, she stretched before standing and walked to her draws. She pulled out an old top, and changed into it before walking over to the canvas in her room; grabbing a pencil. She began Drawing a picture of the moon shining over the lake. Once the rough sketch was done, she began outlining it with black paint. She stood painting for about an hour before looking at the time. Sighing, she looked at her unfinished painting. Deciding she would finish it tomorrow. She walked back over to her draws, before removing her clothes and putting on some pyjamas. Laying in bed, she settled down knowing Alaric would be doing the rounds soon to check everyone was in bed.

Hope woke to a bang outside her door. She sat up and produced a fireball in her hand, anticipating danger. She looked at the time and saw it was about 12.35am. Then out of nowhere, a familiar scent filled her nose. dropping her hand, dissipating her fireball. She grinned before quietly standing up, she heard the footprints move away from her room. She then snuck out, following them. Once she saw who it was, she smiled to herself and whispered "Josie Saltzman, I know where your going".

Hope had been in love with Josie since they were 14. She had made it her life's mission to protect her at any costs. Even though she was a loner, she spent a lot of time Watching Josie from a distance. She had spoken to her a few times, but they had never really had a long conversation because Lizzie didn't like her. Hope knew where Josie was going and Smiled, she had been following her to the lake since the first ever time Josie snuck out. Hope watched as Josie snuck out the main doors, following her so she wasn't caught until they reached the tree line. Once she was a little way into the woods, Hope shifted into her wolf form; as there was less chance she would be caught. She followed Josie through the woods until they reached the docks. Hope stayed in the trees, watching as Josie sat down and began reading. Hope loved moments like this, when it was just Josie and she could just admire her. She laid down on the floor, her eyes never moving from the brunette, After about an hour hope noticed she had fallen asleep, creeping over in her wolf form, so she didn't wake her. she shifted back into her human form, quickly grabbing a box hidden in a tree with a stash of clothes in it. putting them on, she walked up to Josie lifting her with ease. Josie stirred a little, making Hopes heart race. She didn't want to get caught, as Josie was unaware of her attachment to her. When they got back to the school, Hope snuck Josie back up to her room and put her back in bed making sure neither of the twins woke up.

Once Hope had made sure Josie was safe and warm back in her room, she went back to hers and changed into some new pyjamas.  She had worn hers following Josie, and had to take them off to shift. Once she had changed, she climbed into her bed and smiled The last thought in her head before falling to sleep was Josie Saltzman.
