project partners

Josie's pov:

It's halfway through class when everyone was told to partner up. Josie was going to choose Lizzie, but she was Partnering up with her friend; so She turned to Hope. "Hey Hope, would you mind working with me? I know you prefer to work alone but.." Josie was cut off by Hope "Of course you can, Anytime". Josie was taken aback by Hope "Oh, thank you Hope". She smiled at Hope, and they began working on the project their teacher had just set. They were halfway through the first part of their project, when the teacher announced that they would be working on it over a course of 3 days. This made Josie smile, This is the first time she had properly spoken to Hope in a while, and she was enjoying the company. Once the teacher had finished her announcement, Josie and Hope went back to working; but this time in a comfortable silence. Until Josie spoke up "So Hope Mikaelson. You usually hate working with people, Why did you decide to work with me?" She stayed quiet as Hope looked up and flashed her a smile. "Because Josie Saltzman, you asked. Plus, it looks like your usual partner has a partner". Josie couldn't help but feel a little bit disappointed with her answer, but she wasn't sure why. Instead, she chose to continue working.

As Josie was working, she could feel eyes on her like she was being watched. It was the same feeling she had when she snuck out at night and went to the docks. She tried to ignore it, but it was getting more difficult as the feeling kept getting stronger. Eventually Josie looked up, seeing Hope staring at her. Raising an eyebrow she spoke "Hope what are you looking at?" Josie watched as Hope's Eyes immediately fell away and she became flustered "Erm, Sorry Jo, I thought there was a bug behind you". Josie didn't believe Hope for 1 second but choose not to ask any further questions.

 It was the end of class and Josie was packing up her things when Hope spoke again? "What class do you have now?" Josie smiled but was slightly taken aback, as Hope rarely ever spoke to her. She knew it was because of Lizzie, but it was still strange to Josie "Erm, Healing I think".  She watched as Hope nodded "Want me to walk you?". Josie raised her eyebrow again "Your offering to walk with me to class?". she didn't have to wait long for a response "Yes, is there a problem?". Josie shook her head "No, there's no Problem. But shouldn't you be going to your next class?" Josie saw Hope shake her head "Nope, I have free time now". Josie was quiet, but eventually spoke up "Okay, You can walk me to class; its not a problem". Josie watched as Hope's face grew a huge smile "Great, let's go". Just as they turn to leave Lizzie walk's over "Hey Jo, Where are you going with Miss Muppet?" Josie watches as Hope rolls her eyes "I'm just going to my next Class, Hope offered to walk with me so I said yes" Lizzie was surprised by this, but didn't question it. "Okay, but meet me after Class and we can get you ready for your date". This made Josie feel strange, not because she was uncomfortable with the idea, just because Hope was there when she said it. Josie was unsure why she had this feeling, but she chose to ignore it as she hugged her twin and headed with Hope to her next class.

Hope's Pov:

Sitting next to Josie was seeming a challenge. Hope couldn't concentrate on Anything, She stayed Quiet until she heard Josie's voice Next to her. Snapping her head up, she listened as the brunette girl asked if they could work together. Hope was slightly surprised as Josie usually worked with Lizzie but saw Lizzie with a different Partner. Hope listened as Josie went on about her preferring to work alone, and before she could control it she started speaking "Of course you can, Anytime". Hope Smiled as this meant that for the whole lesson, Josie would be working with her. Once the teacher had explained about the project they were going to be working on, they began. It was about half way through the first part of the project, when the teacher spoke up; revealing that they would be working with there partners over a span of 3 days. 

Hope felt her face fall into another smile, she enjoyed the feeling she got talking to Josie; and now she got to work with her for the next 3 days. The teacher had finished talking, and they had gone back to working in silence until Josie spoke. Once again Hope snapped her head up to listen. Hope couldn't help but smile at the slightly younger girl as she spoke. Hearing Josie say her name felt so natural to Hope, like she had said it 100 times and She liked it. Josie looked down and continued working, but Hope was unable to take her eyes off of her. Until Josie looked back up, her brown eyes locking onto Hope's. Hope looked away Quickly knowing that she had been caught staring and made up an excuse as to why. Eventually the class ended and Hope felt saddened. She wanted more time With Josie, so she offered to walk her to her next class. Hope already knew Josie's schedule, but to avoid suspicion she asked what class she had. Once they had both packed up, hope turned to follow Josie out, when they were stopped by Lizzie. Lizzie threw some random remark about Hope being a Muppet, causing her to roll her eyes. Hope didn't even know why Lizzie didn't like her, and began thinking about what she could have done. Hope was then snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Lizzie's follow up sentence. she mentioned getting Josie ready for a date, and Hope felt a rush of anger come over her. However, she hid it and just continued to smile until her and Josie had left the room.
