Hosie : protector

The date

Josie's pov:

Josie and Penelope were sitting on the docks. Laughing and joking, but something didn't feel right to Josie. She had been fine with Penelope up until she had started speaking with Hope. Josie couldn't figure out why, but she was suddenly less interested. She sat and listened as Penelope told her some story about a trip she had taken. But something else caught her attention over in the woods. She had seen a flash of white. Josie choose to ignore it, thinking she was Imagining things. She was snapped out of her thoughts by Penelope. "Hey Jo Jo, is everything okay ?". Josie Smiled at Penelope and nodded before Penelope continued "So, this has been really nice so far jo, there's just one thing I want to know". Josie nodded "And what's that?". Penelope smiled and moved closer to Josie "Are you ever going to ask me out?". Josie smiled and looked at the floor blushing lightly "Actually, Yes I was going to ask you out, but seeing as the Date hasn't ended yet, you will have to wait". Josie watched as Penelope giggled and laid back, Josie followed, laying next to her "It's a nice night tonight". Penelope smiled agreeing "That it is". 

The date was finally ending, and all Josie had to do now was ask Penelope to be her girlfriend. Sitting up, she looked at her "So, that question you asked me earlier about if I would ever ask you out" there was a small pause as Josie gathered the courage "Penelope Park, will you be my girlfriend". she watched a Penelope sat up smiling before moving closer to her "yes, I will be your Girlfriend. If, you kiss me". Josie smiled and leaned in, kissing Penelope. They sat there making out for about 10 minutes, before they decided to pack up and head back towards the school. 

Half way back, Josie had noticed that the feeling of her being watched was gone. She felt slightly relieved, but at the same time she felt sad. Pushing the thought away, she continued walking back, hand in hand with her new girlfriend. Once they were back at the school, Penelope dropped Josie off at her room before kissing her. Once Josie was inside her room she was instantly questioned by Lizzie "So? Tell me everything jo. Did you kiss? Did you ask her out ? tell me!". Josie smiled and walked over to Lizzie's bed sitting down "Okay. Yes she is now my girlfriend, yes we kissed and yes; I asked her". Lizzie squealed with excitement, making Josie giggle. They both sat talking for a  while until there was a knock at the door "Josie looked at the time and saw it was 9.30pm. Walking over to the door, she opened it revealing a sad looking Hope. Josie was instantly concerned, and walked out into the hall. Shutting the door behind her. "Hope, what's wrong?". she stood and watched  as the shorter girl shuffled uncomfortably "Sorry Jo, erm, nothings wrong. I was just checking if you were back to talk about the project". Once again Josie wasn't convinced but this time she didn't push. 

Hope's Pov:

Hope couldn't stop looking at Josie, all she wanted was to be with her. Be a bigger part of her life. She watched as her and Penelope laughed and hugged. Hope couldn't stop thinking about what it would be like if that was her. If she would have put more effort in to tell Josie how she felt. Hope was still watching, until she heard something behind her. She quickly ran over to another bush before crouching down, seeing it was just two drunk kids. She waited until they walked past.

Once they were gone, Hope went back to her original spot, laying back down. She knew she had other things to do, but out of all of them, watching Josie was the main thing she wanted to do. Hope turned around and looked behind her, double checking that the students were gone. As she turned back to where she was originally looking, she saw Penelope moving closer to Josie. Once again, she felt that familiar feeling of Jealousy. Hope hated feeling this way, she would do anything to get rid of it. But she knew the only thing she could do, was to accept that Josie was going to be with someone else. or she would have to be brave and tell Josie how she felt. 

(Time skip)

It had been a few hours, and nothing had really happened. Giving Hope a strange feeling of relief. That was until she saw Josie leaning into Penelope, Hope watched as Penelope and Josie Kissed. Without thinking, she let out a growl and dropped her head. Realizing what she had just done. she tried to regain her control, before quickly turning running back to where she had shifted. After putting her clothes back on, Hope ran the whole way back to the school. Trying to let out her emotions as she ran. She was feeling Jealous, angry and sad. she had finally made it back to the school. The run back had helped a little bit, but she knew these emotions wouldn't go unless she accepted that Josie was with someone else. Something that she really didn't want to do. She walked into the school and headed up to her room. Upon entering, she walked over to her bed and just fell onto it. Replaying the kiss between Josie and Penelope over and over in her head. Hope had been laying on her bed for what felt like an eternity. until she couldn't take it anymore. Standing up, she left her room. Heading towards Josie's room. Once she got there, she knocked and waited patiently for an answer. Hope wasn't there long before the door opened, revealing Josie. Hope felt sadness wash over her again as she remembered the kiss, but she pushed it away. Hope wasn't even sure why she was at the door, but she made up the excuse of wanting to talk about there class project when Josie asked what was up.
