Hosie : protector

Josie's pov: 

Josie was walking to her next class with Hope, but she seemed different than when they were talking in class. Josie was concerned that it was Lizzie, so she decided to pry "Hey Hope, did Lizzie upset you back there?" Josie watched as Hope looked up at her "No, of course not, she's called me worse". Josie let out a sigh of relief, but could still tell there was something wrong. "Okay, so if Lizzie didn't upset you, what did?". She watched Hope and noticed her tense at the question. "Nothing's upset me Jo", Josie knew better than to push Hope but for some reason she really cared for the girl, almost like she had back when she was 14. Without thinking, Josie walked in front of Hope; stopping her in her tracks before looking straight into her eyes "I know your lying Hope, Why can't you just tell me, you can talk to me about anything, I won't run?" Josie stood and waited while Hope just looked at her, but the look she was getting was making her heart rate quicken and her breath hitch. Hope was looking at her with so much intensity, and What Josie though was love. Hope's eyes kept flicking down to her lips, before back up to meet her. Josie noticed this, but she quickly pushed that thought away; telling herself she was just Imagining it. Finally after what felt like hours Josie gave in "Okay, Fine, if your not going to tell me, I can't make you. but just know I'm here if you change your mind". Josie turned and looked down the hall, seeing her class. Turning back to Hope she gave her a small smile "thanks for walking me". 

(Time skip)

It was now 7.00pm, and Josie was running around her room looking for an outfit. Grabbing a skirt and a yellow coloured blouse, and holding them up against her. She then turned to Lizzie. "What do you think?" Lizzie smiled before standing up and hugging her sister "Perfect". Once Josie had showered and got dressed, she walked out to Lizzie before twirling. "Okay so everything is set up right Lizzie?". Josie watched as Lizzie nodded and smiled "Yes, everything is set up. Go get your girl Jo". Without a final Glance back, she left to go to the docks. Unaware that a certain Tribrid had Watched her leave and was following her. 

Josie was standing at the docks nervously and had texted Penelope to meet her there, But Penelope was a little late; causing Josie to feel even more nervous. Leaving thoughts running through her head What if Penelope Didn't turn up? what if Penelope turns up but says no. It didn't help with feeling that she was being watched again. But this time it felt more intense. After about 5 more minutes Josie was ready to give in and leave, but then Penelope showed up out of the trees "Hey Jo Jo, sorry I'm late" Josie smiled as she Walked over "It's no problem Penelope, you look great". Josie watched as Penelope smiled "so do you". Josie sat down next to a picnic basket and began unpacking, closely followed by Penelope. As she sat down however, she heard Penelope speak "So Jo, what's all this about, It's sort of romantic isn't it, If you wanted me to go on a date with you, you could have just asked". Josie giggled before replying "Technically, I did". 

Hope's Pov:

Josie had gone into class, so Hope headed back to her room. She had so many feeling's going through her mind right now. She wanted to Kiss Josie, and tell her she loved her; and that she had been watching over her. But she couldn't, she was too worried about Josie's reaction. She couldn't bare it if Josie hated her. Hope decided to do something to take her mind off of them, Usually Painting or wolfing out helped. But seeing as it was broad daylight, and there was students everywhere. She was unable to wolf out. Once she was in her room, she immediately changed her top into an old painting one; before she picked up some paints and began finishing the picture she had started the previous night. Choosing not to attend the remainder of her classes. 

(Time skip)

Hope had finally finished the painting, and looked at it proudly. It had helped her a lot, but she still had a lot of feelings to work through. It was slightly later now, and a lot of the students were either in their rooms; or at the party that was out in the woods. Hope wasn't one for party's, so she choose to skip it just like all the others. Hope Looked at the time and saw it was 7.00, so she headed down to Dr Saltzman's Office to ask his permission to go for a run in the woods. Usually she wouldn't bother asking, but considering all the students would be out at a party. She thought it was best to. Once she reached the office, she knocked before hearing him speak "You can enter". Opening the door she poked her head round "Hey Dr Saltzman I'm feeling kind of restless, Anywhere I can Wolf out?" She stood as he was quiet until he Finally spoke up "Sure, you should be fine out by the lake. But stay away from the mill, There's a Party there tonight that I have to stop at 10". Hope smiled and thanked him before leaving. 

As Hope walked back towards her room to grab a drink and a snack, She spotted Josie Leaving her room and walking towards the end of the hall. Deciding to skip the drink and snack, She followed Josie all the way out until once again; she disappeared into the trees. Hope walked over to a empty area covered, with bushes and trees before taking her clothes off and folding them neatly. She then shifted and continued to Follow Josie. Finally Josie stopped where Hope knew she would, At the lake. She looked around and saw it decorated in fairy lights with a picnic and drinks. Hope laid in the same place she did last Night, and just watched. Feeling upset and wishing that she was there with Josie right now. After a few Minutes Hope saw someone else appear in the clearing. Looking, she saw Penelope. She watched as Josie hugged her and complimented her. This made hope even more Jealous than she had been this morning, and all she could think was that it should be her with Josie instead of Penelope.
