Unexpected Love

I got up and look terrible. I walked like a zombie to the bathroom and got ready. There were countless messages from Jake on my phone, but I didn't want to read them.

I decided to just go for a walk today, instead of school. If I went to school, I would see Jake and I didn't want to see this mf. I changed my clothes and did my make-up.

Before I could leave the house, my mother came over to me and gave me a hug. "Everything will be fine... I don't know what happened yesterday, but you know that I'm here for you. Have a good day my girl." said my mum.

I just nodded and hugged her back. I had to pull myself together so that I wouldn't start crying. After a moment, I broke the hug and smiled as I left the house. I walked a few minutes and just looked around.

Freeridge was actually very beautiful. I never saw it that way, because of all the gangs and annoying students.

I walked along the sidewalk for a while until I saw a car driving towards me. The car came closer, I recognized the guys who were sitting in it, they are Santos.

One shouted, "Hola bonita, need a ride? We can have fun afterwards." Somebody in the back seat hit the guy against the shoulder. The guy in the back seat said, "Hey amigo, this is Spooky's hyna." The other guy looked at me and made a strange expression and drove away.

I just kept walking and was about to put my headphones in my ears, but then I realized what the guy in the car just said. Spooky's hyna?

He just mistook me or thought I was somehow dating Oscar since he drove me home from the party yesterday.

I thought a lot about the party as I walked. I have to sort this out with Jake. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding and I just acted too quickly. No, I didn't, he kissed someone else and it didn't look like it was an accident.

Damn it! I don't know what to do. The school started an hour ago and I could go there and at least write my English exam. So, I turned back on my way and walked to school.

When I got there, I went to my class and apologized for being late. The English exam went well and after biology, pe and math, I left the classroom. I walked through the school hallway and looked at my phone.

Suddenly someone pulled me by my wrist into the side corridor and pushed me against the wall. I was startled and saw Jake, with a bruise on his face, in front of me. "Jake wha-" I said but Jake interrupted me. "So, I'm the bad guy who kissed someone else, but you're the angel who fucked Spooky. That's not fair Y/n! After you left, he came up to me and slapped me in the face." I was almost frozen.

His grip on my wrist slowly loosened. "I didn't know he hit you and even if I did, I didn't tell him to. And I didn't fuck with him. Who the fuck said that?" I answered.

We stood there for a few moments until he said, "After he hit me, he said that you guys fucked and that you're his hyna now and everyone should have respect for you and..."

"What? He claimed me?" I interrupted him. He nodded angrily. I glared at him and said, "I have to go!". His grip on my wrist tightened.

"Y/n I-" he said and I yanked myself out of his grip and yelled at him, "What the fuck is wrong with you? You cheated on me yesterday and turn things around so that I look bad now? I'm leaving!"

With this statement, I left him standing and ran out of the school building towards the Santos house. After a stop at my home, I walked to the house.

Outside I saw Jamal and Ruby, but it doesn't look like they just visited Cesar. After I got closer to the house, I also saw the Santos and Monse who beat Cesar up.

She yelled at him, "For you to impress your puto friends and humiliate me?". I don't know what's between the two of them, but I wanted to go to Oscar. He sat on a wall and smoked.

He said, "Hermanito, you better back up before you get smacked up." to his brother. I was now right next to Monse and walked towards Oscar.

"That also applies to you puto!" I said and hit him in the face. "You claimed me? Do you like to lie or why do you tell everyone we fucked? I would never fuck with you!" I screamed at him.

Oscar briefly touched his cheek and pretended that my punch had hurt and laughed. The other Santos barked at Monse when she was pulled away by Jamal and Ruby.

A Santo had seen me yell at Oscar and that I hit him and tried to pull me away from him. Oscar looked at the Santo and shook his head no. "Let's go in the house Y/n." he said and jumped off the wall.

Before I could say anything, he pulled me into the house by my wrist and led me to the couch. He sat down in front of me and said, "Listen! Are you mad that I hit your little boyfriend?" He chuckled and pouted.

I glared at him and said, "You claimed me!" and he answered, "Yeah and what about it? I saved you from a lot of embarrassment and everyone will now have respect for you. What's the problem? You're my hyna now."

Is that guy kidding me? I said, "You damaged my reputation and said we fucked, but we didn't!". He chuckled again and said, "We can change that immediately, my room is right there." He pointed to a room door.

The guy is completely crazy. I got up and said, "Take back that you claimed me and that you fucked me and we're fine."

"No." he answered.

"Estás loco!" (You're crazy), I said and walked out the door. "You will take it back!" I said and walked towards home. After I left the property he called after me, "Hey ma, I drive you home!" I turned around and shouted, "You better keep spreading any lies, I'm walking home." With that, I left and went home.

Later that evening I got a text from Cesar telling me that he, Jamal, Ruby and Monse would meet tomorrow morning to walk to school and if I would go with them. I wrote him a 'yes' back and went to sleep.

At the next morning I got ready and leave the house. I went towards Cesar's house and saw the other three waiting there. Cesar came out of the house and walked to us. After a few seconds, Oscar arrived in his red Impala.

He said, "Cesar." and gestured for him to sit in the car. He didn't drive off when Cesar got in, instead the Santo, who had been sitting in the passenger seat, sat in the back seat next to Cesar. Oscar looked at me and called, "What are you waiting for? Get in!" I was about to refuse, but his look showed me that I had no choice.

I sat in the passenger seat and Oscar drove off.
