Unexpected Love

✞ 4 ✞ Football guy

So, Oscar drove me and Cesar to the school and I was about to take off my seatbelt, in this moment Oscar turned back and looked at Cesar. "You will keep an eye on her!" he said.

Cesar nodded and we both got out of the car and walked to the school door. The other Santo sat back in the passenger seat and before Oscar drove away, he screamed out the window, "See you, hermosa. If anyone looks at you the wrong way, I'll kill them!" With this statement he drove away.

I shook my head and turned back to the school door and walked into the building with Cesar. Oscar was completely crazy but somewhere in my disturbed head I think it's pretty cute of him that he wants to protect me.

Cesar looked at me worried and I replied with a smile and a confused expression. "What?" I asked him. "It's all good, I hope you don't have a hard time with my brother." he answered my confused expression on my face.

"It's okay, Cesar, I can deal with your brother. Now go to your class, I'll be fine." He nodded and walked to Jamal, Ruby and Monse with the backpack over one shoulder.

When I saw that Jamal was wearing a ruff, I had to smile. I know he always fakes some illness just because he doesn't want to tell his father that he doesn't want to play football anymore.

I walked to my class. On the way, I saw Jake and his football team at the lockers. They all stared at me. Damn that was uncomfortable as fuck. I heard someone say, "Yoo amigos isn't that the Santo slut?"

I said to myself in my head, please get over your pride and just keep walking. But I just couldn't, that wasn't a great quality of me. I just couldn't shut tf up.

I raised my head and quickly turned to the guy who said this shit to me. He was looking down at me with a smile. I don't know this guy, but he was definitely stronger than me. I don't give a fuck about this.

"What did you just say? You think your hard huh?" I asked. He looked at me puzzled, probably not expecting such an attitude.

"Hey Y/n you better go." said Jake with a straight expression on his face. He was standing right next to the guy. I looked at Jake and shook my head, "You know what Jake? Just don't get involved in my business." Then I looked at the guy who insulted me, "And you! Grow up first, then we can keep talking, hijo de puta!" With that I go to my classroom and sit on a chair in the back and mind my own business.

For the rest of the school day, I just stared out the window the whole time. I felt many of my classmates looking at me and tried not to look back. I was visibly pissed off. The bell rang to symbolize the end of school lessons and I was so relieved. I couldn't have endured this in here any longer.

I grabbed my backpack and quickly walked out of my classroom. I was walking down the hall to the school door when suddenly someone pulled me to the side by my arm.

It was the football guy from this morning, who called me a Santo slut. I was so annoyed that everyone touches me somehow all the time, I mean there is another way. A simple 'can we talk' or something like that would have been more than enough.

"What do you want?" I said annoyed to the guy. He licked his lips with a grin. "You made a mockery of me in front of everyone today. You have to pay for that." He replied, looking up and down at me and grabbed me by my hip.

"The fuck, stop." I spoke but he pulled me closer to him. After all the courses my mother had ordered me to take, I knew what to do.

I raised my hand into a fist and hit him hard in the face. He let go of me and held his bleeding nose. "What-" he wanted to say but I interrupted him. "Didn't your mother teach you behavior? What's your problem?" I said and turned around and left school.

"What took you so long?" Oscar questioned in his car. Cesar was already in the back of the car.

"Whatever." I said and got in. I knew I couldn't refuse. When the car stopped in front of my house, I unbuckled my seatbelt and said, "Thanks for taking me with you, see ya."

Before I could get out of the car, Oscar leaned over to me and whispered, "Ahh, I don't get a goodbye kiss?" I stared at him and said aloud, "Cesar get your brother under control." while I opened the door.

Oscar smiled and pouted shortly afterwards. I closed the door when I got out and had to smile. Oscar was cute when he made such an expression on his face.

When I noticed what I was thinking I tried to drive away my crazy thoughts and walked to the door. As always, Oscar waited patiently until I disappeared into the house and then drove off.

I spent the rest of the evening with my mom and brother. We watched a horror movie and ate pasta with tomato sauce. When it got late, I went up to my room and got ready for bed.

Somebody knocked on my door. "Yes? Come in." I said and my mum came into my room. "Hello sweety." she said and sat down on my bed. I walked to my bed and sat next to her.

"What's up mommy?" I asked. "Nothing, I just wanted to talk to you. I feel like something has been different about you lately. You seem so independent and we don't do anything together anymore." she answered.

"Oh mummy, we have time and just do something together next week. Let's just talk a little more," I said. "You are right, sweety." she replied with a smile and asked, "Hmm what can we talk about? Boys? Ohhh, what about Cesar? You two have been doing a lot lately. Is he your boyfriend?"

I looked at her and laughed. "No mom!" I answered and we both laughed. I haven't seen her laugh in a long time and so I laid my head on her legs. "I now understand why you wanted to talk to me." I said.

"I don't know what's going on with me right now, it's very complicated at the moment." I continued. "Oh, I understand this." she answered. After a few minutes my brother screamed, "Mommy!" and my mom stand up and kissed me on my forehead. "I have to go, hunny." she said and walked to the door.

"Mommy?" I asked. "Yes?" she replied. "You know that I love you, right?" I said and she smiled. "I love you too and now go to sleep, sweety." I nodded and she closed the door.

I fell asleep. Happy. For a long time, I was finally happy again.
