“Run Dean!” Evan shouted. He heard no response, but knew he was behind him. “The way out is just up ahead!” The two ran through the ankle deep water. Evan could see the light breaking through the darkness. “It’s right, huff, there, huff.” Evan said gasping for breath. The two reached the staircase and ran up two steps at a time. When they got up and were standing on the deck, the things chasing them, stopped and stared at them. Evan and Dean turned around and walked off the ship where they spotted Chris and Dakota. “Hey Chris, Dakota.” Dean shouted. Chris and Dakota looked over, and started to walk to them. Evan and Dean did the same. They met on the doc, and started to walk into the forest. “Did something happen?” Chris asked. “No no, we only got chased by possessed people.” Evan responded, sarcastically. “Wait what? What do you mean?” Dakota asked. “When you go into the hull of that blasted ship, you get teleported into a different dimension.” Evan explained. “But aren't you all powerful?” Dakota asked. “Where’d you hear that? And yes, I am, but that title is awful.” Evan responded. “Yeah, so why didn’t you scan or even sense it?” “Do really expect me to ‘scan’,” Evan said in air quotes, “every little object I come across? And I thought that that ship had sunk YEARS ago.” Evan reply’d. Then it turned to awkward silence. The 4 walked through the forest until they finally heard loud booms, and muffled screams. “I'm guessing you all hear that?” Dean said, breaking the silence. “Yeah, we do.” Chris answered.
As they got closer the screams started to turn into cheers. And colorful explosions burst into the sky. The 4 of them kept walking on. “Oh, I know where we are. We’re at The City of Didelis.” Evan said in disappointment. “What's that?” Chris asked. “Possibly the biggest city in all of the forest.” Dakota answered.
When they arrived at the city, they confirmed that the explosions were actually fireworks, and the screams/cheers were cheers after all. “This is pretty cool.” Chirs said looking into the city. “It is, but it's very easy to be scammed, or kidnapped.” Evan responded, ruining the mood. “Well, let's go inside.” Dakota announced as he took a step walking into the city. The other 3 followed closely behind him.
They looked around the city, it looked futuristic. There were screens everywhere advertising “The Games.” “Hey Evan.” “Yeah?” “What's the game?” Chris asked. “Oh it's where you have a certain amount of people fight that same amount of people in an arena.” Evan explained. “For example, you could have 1 person fight 1 other person and whoever won, would move on. There's only 2 rounds and who ever wins gets what we came here for, the red gem.” Dakota added to Evans' statement. The 4 walked into a building, the Chris didn't get a good enough look at the outside. But the inside looked like a hotel lobby. “Do you have reservations?” The man at the desk asked. “No, but we are looking for a room.” Evan responded. “You have to have a reservation in order to get a room.” Evan walked to him, slid something to the man and whispered to him. The man smiled, “Your room number is 504, on the 5th floor. Thank you for joining us.” Evan smiled back, “Pleasure.” The 3 followed Evan as he walked into a hallway. He pressed a button and a door opened. “I have a plan.” Evan said as he walked into the small room. “Oh yeah?” Chris said to Evan. “Yep, sure do. What i'm thinking is…” He couldn't finish his sentence as 4 men looking somewhere around 18-20 walked in. “Thanks for holding the elevator.” One of the guys said to Evan. “Oh yeah, sure.” Evan responded. “You guys gonna watch the games this weekend?” “It’s gonna be quite the show.” 2 of the guys announced off of each other. “Oh yeah, i’m sure it will be.” Evan said sourly. The elevator stopped, and the guys got off. The doors shut and it started to move again. “So what was your plan Evan?” Chrisa asked. “Oh, right. We ki…” He stopped as the door opened again and more people got on. “This is us.” Evan said and the 4 of them walked out of the elevator. “504…” Evan mumbled “Ah there it is.” He exclaimed as he put a card through the scanner and the door opened. The 4 of them walked in and settled down on the beds. There were 2 beds, with a wall separating them from the bathrooms. There were windows on the outerwall facing outside, and a sliding door, which led to a balcony. There was a T.V on the wall facing the foot of their beds. “So my plan,” Evan started, “We kill everyone and steal the gem.” The 3 looked at him with a blank expression. “We’re not doing that.” Dean said, holding the blank expression. “Aw come on.” Evan sighed in disappointment. “Turn on the T.V.” Dakota asked Dean, who turned on the T.V. “The Games are once again here folks and once again, we’re in need of a team. We need a team for the Solo’s and a team for the Quadruples.” The person on the T.V announced. “If you're a tourist or just forgot, the grand prize for winning any of the tournaments is the Grand Gem.” The man announced, as a picture of a big red gem showed up on the screen. Chris looked at Evan who looked back at him. “Guys, I have a new plan.”'
