“Well now that that's settled, let's talk about what we're going to do next. I found this little refuge that needs supplies. We might as well get some favors on our hands. And this’ll be a good way for you two to gain our trust, if you wish to travel with us.” Evan finished. “But what is the favor we’ll do?” Dean asked. “Well, we’ll find out soon enough.”
The four of them packed up and started the travel to the small refuge. They arrived and talked to the main chief, who told them that they need to get on a ship, and travel across the big lake, when they get across, they must get the big red jewel. He gave them the directions and they went on their way. When they arrived they were greeted with the sight of a huge ship. It was brown and had grey flags. They got into the line, and boarded the ship. They split into 2 teams, Chris and Dakota, and Evan and Dean. Chris and Dakota went to the deck of the ship, Evan and Dean went to the hull. About an hour into the trip, the captain came out of his quarters, "Someone here is a murder. I got news that they found a body behind a tree at the docs." Everyone looked around, and started to talk among themselves. Chris and Dakota looked at each other. "Do you think we should regroup with Evan and Dean?" Chris asked. "That may be a good idea, it's better to be in numbers." They got up and went to the hull of the ship. When they stepped off the stairwell, their foot was submerged in ankle deep cold water. "That sucks, I liked these shoes." Dakota complained. "It does suck, but remember, there's a murderer here." Chris responded. He pulled out his sword, which was glowing bright white and lit up the darkness of the hull. "There's no one down here." Dakota said while looking around the empty hull. "Yeah, that's weird." The two of them stepped off the last step and stopped when Chris heard a splash and a soft groan from behind them. “Did you hear that?” “Hear what?” Dakota asked. “I don’t think that we're the only ones down here.” Chris replied. “You dont think…” Dakota was cut off by Chris shushing him. They both listened closely. All of a sudden the two heard a splash. “You heard it that time, right?” Chris said softly. Dakota nodded. The two waited in the cold water. “You should check it out.” “No!” Dakota opposed, “You have the light.” “But you have... “ Chris stopped to try and think of something but Dakota was already pushing him behind the stairs. Chris faked a smile and started to walk. He didn’t see much, a lot of wooden boxes stacked on each other, but nothing that caught his eye. “Why are we even down here, let’s just let the guards find them.” Chris mumbled. He looked down at the water, and heard a splash again. His sword turned red, and his vision went black.
As Chris got his consciousness back he noticed that it was no longer as bright as it used to be. He glanced at his sword and it was no longer glowing white, it was blue. The more he looked at his sword, the more he felt the need to start running. He waved his sword around in the darkness, and saw a pair of eyes looking back at him. “Hello?” Chris called out. “Hello!” Dakota hollered from behind him. “Who are you?” Chris asked in the darkness. When he said that, his sword started to change its color to magenta. Chris’ vision started to fade again, when he came back. He was standing over a dark figure. He waved his sword into the darkness again, and didn’t see just one pair of eyes, he saw four. His sword turned blue, and he knew he had to run. He turned around and ran through the boxes. “Run!” Chris yelled through the darkness. He ran around a box and was face to face with Dakota. “Go up!” Chris yelled while running past him. The two made it to the deck, but no one was in sight. They looked around and saw that they were docked. The two ran off and told the captain about the hull of the ship and began to look for Evan and Dean. “How do we know that they even got off the ship? They went into the hull, and when we went down there, we didn't see them.” Dakota explained. “That's very true, but Evan is rather strong for how young he is.” Chris replied. “Yeah, good point. I’m sure they're fine.”
