Jungkook didn't know why he did it. He supposed he had thought that Seokjin would never give him his number if he had asked for it. So the next best thing to do in Jungkook's book, was to use some other, colorful way to procure it. And that is why he had asked the assistant at the phone shop to get Seokjin a new number. And now he sat staring at the illicit page that contained the very same thing.
Jungkook never backed down from a challenge and Seokjin was definitely one, albeit a very beautiful and sexy challenge. Jungkook knew he would do most anything to gain Seokjin's favor even if he had to use some not so very honest means.
"What you got there Guk?" Hoseok asked, popping a potato chip into his mouth and scanning the page Jungkook had in his hand. His eyes widened when he realized what it was. Hoseok had already seen the very same page in his shop.
"You've got Jin's number there, haven't you?"
When Jungkook only grunted in answer, Hoseok sighed and went to settle on the couch next to his friend.
"Why don't you tell me then maybe I can help you?" Hoseok tried.
A small devious grin grew on the corner of Jungkook's lip. Maybe Hoseok was right and he could actually be of help to him, a plan already forming in Jungkook's mind.
"Hmmm. Maybe you can Hobi. I need you to ask Seokjin out to a pool party tomorrow night."
"Why? What's going on in that crazy mind of yours Guk? It can't be anything good and I know you so don't even try to deny it," Hoseok narrowed his eyes at his friend.
"Listen, okay, I confess, I like him. I mean, I really like him but I know he hates me. And worse yet, he has a boyfriend already," Jungkook sighed, thinking about Jin and Jimin, who were so cozy with each other.
Hoseok scrunched up his nose in confusion.
"Jin has a boyfriend? When did I miss that?"
Jungkook groaned and shoved Hoseok aside. He flicked Hoseok's forehead, who yelped in pain.
"Pabo, Jimin is his boyfriend."
"He is? But I thought...."
"You thought what huh?" Jungkook said, cutting Hoseok off. "A gorgeous guy like Seokjin wouldn't be taken? Fuck! If only......" Jungkook trailed off and Hoseok looked at his friend, more confused than ever.
As far as Hoseok had surmised, Jimin and that cat person were dating or the cat had like a major crush on Jimin. But Jin? No way, Jin was just friendly with Jimin. He saw no sparks there. He tried to tell Jungkook that but would Jungkook ever listen? So Hoseok just kept his thoughts to himself. He figured Jungkook would eventually realize the error of his ways.
"You have his number right there. Why don't you just ask him yourself?"
Jungkook groaned. Hoseok was really stupid. How could Jungkook just call him and ask him? Seokjin would never agree.
"Will you shut up and just do it? I can't ask him right now, okay. Just tell him it's like a group thing. And I'll call Tae and Joon to join us as well. They seemed to hit it off yesterday at the shop anyway," Jungkook whined like a baby.
"But you know I'm afraid of water Guk!"
"Hobi, you're literally afraid of every fucking thing on the planet. Jeez, I don't even know why I bother with you anymore."
"You're just a meanie Guk! Why should I help you anyway?" Hoseok protested.
"Because, if you don't, you know I'll slug you," Jungkook warned. "Now stop being a prissy and call him already. Here's his number." Jungkook shoved the paper at Hoseok who was pouting heavily.
