(Little nightmares 2 Fanfic) trauma

(Six's POV)

Something was up with Mono, sleeping outside, it wasn't the first time he had done that, I  had woken up a couple of nights ago and saw Mono leave the house, I snuck out and stalked him into the forest, as I wanted to know what he was doing, I was worried he was going to leave, I wouldn't blame him, keeping track of the 'hunger' was hard, Making sure some meat was always on hand so that I didn't go feral, It was really hard and difficult, I mean, if the hunger couldn't be stopped, I would just lose my mind and attack him, try to eat him, Mono knew that I could kill him if the hunger took control of me, but he stayed with me, The fear of him leaving was hunting me the whole time, but he just sat down and stared into the river until he passed out, I sat near and just watched the whole night, But he did it again last night, I was worried.

Just I finished thinking back I heard a loud click in the forest, I knew one of the traps had been activated, I walked to where I heard the sound, I saw a rabbit, it's head caught in a trap, it was already dead, I went over and took it out of the trap, After which I went and rigged the trap, then I walked over to a log nearby, Mono and Me had hollowed out some logs and stashed them with supplies, I knew a rope was hiding in this one, I looked for a minute before taking it out, then I went and tired the rope around its leg and started to drag it,  I would use my shadow powers to help move it, but I need to eat something that was alive, need their soul, but everything had lost their soul when a trap got them, But I could live without them, they were useful but eating things alive made Mono sick, and I didn't need them but Mono was needed out here, we had gotten close, close friends, I couldn't risk losing All that.

I had been dragging the rabbit for a while, I was nearing the house when I saw Mono tending to the farm, I noticed that he seamed slower with this than he tended to, Mono usually was running around getting work done fast, or at least trying to, today? He seamed like he was thinking about something, As he seamed to just stop working every minute or so and just stared at the work, I didn't mind, he worked hard enough as is, and so what if he isn't working as hard today, he was likely tired, I don't think sleeping in woods like he had done was good for your energy.

I saw him turn his head and notice me, He wasn't wearing the bag today, He waved at me and I waved back As I went inside, I went to the kitchen and placed the rabbit into the fridge, We were lucky that this place had solar panels on the roof, it made life some much easier, I began to think, I checked the traps, I re-rigged them, All my work had been done, I was going to go find a book somewhere, they were bigger than us but reading was one of the few fun things we could do out here, just as I went to go find the book I heard a scream from outside, Mono was in trouble
