Weeks past since the day me and Carl had that meeting. For once Carl did not look at me or joke around with me. We kept a mutual silence as if it was the best for both of us. Zara caught up with me during second period. "Did you hear?" She said while breathing quickly because she had just ran. I looked at her curiously,"Carl Parker is going out with Dana Baker." I looked at Zara in shock. Trying to hide my dissapointment .. to Zara of course! I said "Zara dont you mind.. I mean.. you like him right?" She gave me a look that I could not place and just said "yeh but we are at the bottom of the little pyramid our school has.. we dont count. So no matter what our feelings are we might as well not bother because no one is going to register them. I will get over the kid simples.. I thought he was different but trust him to fall for the charms of Dana Baker." She stalked of looking moody,I wanted to call after her but my own mood had deflated. No its not because Carl is going out with my friend. Its because.. um well.. I havent seen Kyle this morning so whatever.
