Stronger-Promises

We are all crying at the back of the car as mum drives the car as fast she can on the suprsingly full roads. Yes me and Kyle had a history,a rather a bad one but that does not mean I dont care about him. We all get so upset over a celebs death so when someone you know and are used to seeing in your every day life is at a dangerous stage in life we all really do fall. Zara is trying to keep her sobs queit so she can stay brave for Carl. I envy her I really do,she really likes him,she hasent taken her hand of him since the start of the car journey. They hugged for ages ,her telling him its going to be ok. I looked out of the car window sent my prayers to Kyle. I rested my head on the cold window while watching Carl and Zara in a tight embrace.

Mum pulls into the hospital car park with a flourish. She puts her arm around Kyle and Zara supporting them both and leads them into the entrance. I follow them in with no tears left to cry. I look through the transparent door resting my face on the little circle that lets me see into Kyle's room. He looks so lost,it scares me to see him asleep..almost as if hes already.. NO SHUT UP DARCY NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO KYLE HE IS GOING TO LIVE AND CHARM MORE LADIES AND HAVE A HAPPY LIFE.

In the waiting room Kyle's parents are weeping saying over and over again what a bright happy boy he was. Yes it shocked us all to see such a hyper and fun loving Kyle so restless lying so still on a bed. "It was so sudden!" Kyles mom says. "He had been saying for a few days that he felt dizzy and he did vomit blood queit often. We did check up with the doctors and they scheduled a day for scan but before that day he passed out. We dident want to ruin your holiday Carl but your brother needs all of us at a time like this." She starts getting hysterical and has to be taken out by Carl's father. Carls mother arrives and comforts the family. Carl suddenly walks out and I follow him. "I never got to tell him how much I love him" starts Carl and suddenly starts to cry. I stare unsure what to do,I'm not used to seeing him like this. I touch his hand and suddenly he grips it. "Our father was the cause that we never were able to have a proper relationship between us,he thought taking him to Australia would help but I hated my father for doing it... so I took it out on Kyle, I know what hes done to you Darcy its not right but hes my brother and to see him lying there like that I..." He breaks of and looks away. I am about to tell him its gonna be ok but then realise why lie to him.. hes old enough. "I cant promise you anything Carl and more than anyone I want to but hes in good hands right now. Their all skilled doctors.. im not saying it will be fine.. because coughing up blood isent a joke Carl but we all love you and your brother and.." I trail of not wanting to make any promises. This is hard enough as it is. He turns to look at me. "About the other day Darce.. I'm sorry." I tell him not to worry and that all is forgotten. He leans over and plants a kiss on my cheek that leaves me shivering. He walks of back inside and I see a lost Carl go...
