Lost Memories

Getting Dream back to L'manberg was interesting to say the least, his two companions, the librarian, Manny and dog, Scruffy and a newly discovered horse Dream named Nobu (meaning trust in Japanese). Dream is happily leading the group through the forest, Manny, who is riding Nobu still looked at each and every one of them with a sharp glare, Scruffy is skipping happily alongside Nobu and Dream is admiring the scenery around him. 

Soon enough the group arrived at the newly reconstructed L'manberg. Dream and his company looked at the surrounding buildings in awe, "wow! You guys live here!?" Dream asks excitedly darting his eyes from building to building. "Yes duckling, it is also where you and your friends be living from now on!" Puffy answered ruffling Dream's hair lightly. "Wow! What are you all waiting for let's goooo!!!" Dream yells sprinting forward with Nobu galloping after him with Manny tightening his grip on the reins and Scruffy sprinting alongside him. The group smiled wider as some (Techno, Tommy, Tubbo, the Muffinteers, Ant and Ghostbur) sprinted after him, laughing. Maybe hope wasn't lost after all.

Getting Dream's memories back was a hustle, Tubbo and Fundy refusing to do any type of memory spell in fear of them blocking his memories permanently or damaging them severely, they don't want to repeat the same mistake they did before. 

During the process of reliving Dream's memories, the group noticed that Dream seemed to remember a special thing about each of them. The first one to find out is Eret, they were fixing up their castle by themselves when Dream showed up.

Eret was busy rummaging through their numerous chests for something to help his friend remember all about them. He was so busy looking at each item that he did not notice Dream approaching him hesitantly, "Hey Eret?" Dream called out putting his hand on the king's shoulder making him jump a little. "S-sorry if I scared you!" Dream mumbled moving his hand away but was stopped by Eret who gently brushed their fingers across the other's hand. "It's ok Dream" he says assuring his ghostly friend. "What are you doing here?" Eret asks the younger one in front of him. Dream looked thoughtful as if he is also wondering the same thing, "I really don't know, but something in my guts is telling me to come visit you right now" Dream answered letting Eret play with his hand. "Wanna go hang out? I know a spot in the castle where we can hang out?" Eret asks looking at Dream hopefully, Dream looked at Eret for a few moments before smiling gently, "sure Eret". The duo soon made their way to the roof of the castle, they sat down side-by-side as they watched the view overhead. Eret felt nostalgic (and guilty) because this is where them and Dream would hang out and talk often. Eret usually don't have many visitors which is why they mostly looked forward to Dream's visits, they miss those times before the wars started. (If only they realized from the start that their friend was replaced none of this would have happened) Eret didn't even realized that there were tears in their eyes until Dream gently placed his other hand around them. Then the wall Eret had broke down, "D-Dream I-I'm s-so s-so s-sorry if o-only I h-helped y-you, y-you w-wouldn't b-be in t-this m-mess!" Eret cried out wiping the flowing tears in their eyes. Dream looked at Eret with so much pity (that Eret feels like they don't deserve) he placed his free hand around him. Hugging him efficiently despite his other hand trapped in Eret's grasp. Eret sobbed even more as they returned the hug gripping Dream's hoodie tighter. They stayed like that, Eret apologizing and Dream comforting them, repeatedly saying that it's ok. 

The second time of the incident is when Dream, Tommy and Tubbo are having a sleepover over at Tubbo's house in the middle of the night (Manny, Scruffy and Nobu have their own house) both Tommy and Tubbo had a nightmare. 

Tommy woke up with a start clutching his cow plush closer to his chest, just a short while ago he had a nightmare of his big brother figure and the Dreamon. The Dreamon was killing him and Dream was calling out to them, pleading to HIM to help him. Tommy tried to move forward to save his big brother, but he can't, he can't move, what happened next was horrifying to Tommy.
