I walk downstairs, making my way to the kitchen. Once there, I grab a glass and pour myself a drink. As I bring the glass up to my lips, I am pushed back towards the counter, causing the glass to shatter into the floor. My arms are pinned behind my back as my head is pressed into the kitchen counter. I yelp when one of the glass shards gets into my foot. Whoever is holding me has a bruising grip on my hand. I hiss in pain, tears brimming my eyes.
I'm still a bit shaken up from my night terror, now this. It's too much. I try to break free from the strong hold, but they only tighten it more.
The full moon reveals itself from behind the clouds. It shines a light onto the dark kitchen. I glance a bit back to see who is holding me. I gasp and my eyes shake when my eyes lock with a certain pair of hazel eyes.
Roman?!
Present (Andrea's pov)
Roman?!
Holy shit. My own brother is pinning me against the counter. Can he fucking let go? Like owww. I glance at my foot to see it bleeding rapidly.
Wouldn't be the first time.
Roman notices who he is pinning and automatically lets go. He steps back in shock. His mouth agape and eyes wide. "I-" He stops himself. "I... I didn't mean to." He chokes out. "I-I didn't know... I didn't see..." He stutters. His eyes downcast towards the floor. He curses under his breath before moving towards me and scooping me up bridal style.
I yelp in surprise. Roman accidentally presses too hard onto my back and ribs. I let out a pained cry, covering it with a cough. Roman looks at me oddly but luckily doesn't think too much of it.
He steps over the broken glass and my blood. He sets me on the other side of the counter where the sink is. I slightly flinch when he tries to grab my foot. His face grimaces into a pained expression.
"I need to see the wound." He states. I glare at him. He's the one who gave me this wound! He sighs. "Look I know I'm the one who scared you and pushed you, which caused you to drop the glass. But it's either you let me take a look at it or you can let your foot bleed out all over the floor." I don't tell him I rather bleed out then let him help me. Instead I reluctantly let him take a look.
He thanks me and picks it up higher so he can get a better look at it. He guides my hand to hold my foot while he steps away. He opens one of the cabinets, taking out a first aid kit.
"There's one of these in every room. Giovanni wanted to be prepared just in case. Never know when you might get glass in your foot, ya know?" I stare at him blankly. He comes back over to me and sets the first aid kit down. He takes out bandage wraps, rubbing alcohol, tweezers, one cotton ball, and antibiotic ointment.
I'm gonna hate this.
He dabs a bit of the rubbing alcohol onto the tweezers. I suck in a breath as he takes out the glass piece sticking out of my foot. He glances at my face after he takes it out. "Do you seriously not react more to pain?" I roll my eyes.
"Not really." I mutter. Roman glances at me as he turns on the sink water. "You have to disinfect the wound obviously. So just dip it into the sink." I do as he says. I hiss as the water hits the cut. I take it out after a few seconds.
He immediately adds pressure towards my foot with a hand towel. He doesn't look up at me, instead he grabs the bandages and wraps it around the cut. I winch every few seconds and Roman would apologize. Roman finishes and puts everything back where it was. He passes me the antibiotic ointment.
