Sage slightly pouted with her hand balled up against her cheek as her face sat propped up on her arm. "Can you tell Angel that I miss him?"

"Sage, I don't care about you and your friend's weird ass little bond. I came here to see you, I'm not relaying no messages." Sergio shook his head in annoyance. The least she could do was appreciate the fact that he had came to see her. Their parents were so distraught, they couldn't handle seeing their daughter in those conditions right now so Sanai decided it was best to wait until they were ready.

Since De'Angelo wasn't an immediate family member, it was taking him a bit longer to get approved on her visitation list but she still called when she could and he updated her on everything that was going on.

"It's not weird. Maybe if you weren't such a dick head, you'd have some friends and would be able to understand." She shot back with the slightest roll of her eyes. She still couldn't look at him the same way after his revelation to her but she needed to at least see someone from the outside world and he was still her family.

"You don't wanna know how your mom and dad are doing?" He changed the subject, not wanting to get into an argument with his older sister. They had enough of those.

She threw herself back in her seat and folded her arms with a slight pout. "I'd know if they came to see me or answered my calls." Sage retorted, more so speaking about her mother because she knew Sanai had control over where Shamar went. It hurt that her own parent wasn't willing to see her when she had dropped what seemed like her entire life to come and help her mother out with her father. And the excuse Sanai gave for it was even more infuriating.

"You know she's a bitch." Sergio spoke, nearly reading his sister's mind but she still didn't like the way it sounded out loud.

She winced. "Chill, it doesn't even matter. I don't care that much." She lied. It had only been a few days, not even a week yet and going from every day life to prison life was a drastic change. Everything was different and right now, Sage was craving some type of formality.

"You know it's true. Ever since the accident, she hasn't been the same. She always—"

"Sergio, are you forgetting that you haven't been the same since then either?! The whole family fell apart and you ran away and had me and mom pick up the slack for something you did. So cut her some slack." She couldn't believe she was defending their mother right now. They didn't have the best relationship but that didn't mean Sage was going to speak bad on her or allow anyone else to. "That's still our mom."

Sergio got quiet and just stared at his sister for a minute, his blood boiling. He was really trying to refrain from hurting her feelings while she was incarcerated. He'd at least wait until she was out to make her cry. Quickly swiping at his nose with a swift sniffle, he sat up in the cheap metal chair he was sitting in. "Yea? That's still your mom but while you're sitting in here, she's continuing on with her life like she doesn't know there's a risk you'll be in here for the rest of your life."
