"Hey Trapta? Is this yours?" Katze asked the lilac-haired girl, holding up a scroll. "It says something about a ball?"

"Oh, yeah, Princess Prom," she responded, tapping away at her computer.

"...What's that?"

"Princess Prom is the All-Princess Ball, and this year's theme is Winter Wonderland! It happens every decade so I was too young to remember the last one, but I can't wait for this year!" Mery said excitedly, jumping up from her seat.

"Are you going, Entrapta?" Katze asked, claiming Mery's seat and scanning the invite again.

"This crystal is First One's tech! I need to analyze it!" Katze got a mischievous look on her face.

"I mean, it would be a fantastic place to study people-"

"Like a social experiment! Ah hah!"

"Yeah!"

"All right then. I suppose I'll come." She grinned. "Now can you hand me that screwdriver?"

"Hey, Mery?" Katze asked, knocking on the door of the room she was in, AKA Katze's lab.

"Yeah?"

"Uh...I've never been to a ball. What do I wear?" Mery's jaw dropped.

"You've never been to any formal occasion?" Katze shook her head. "Oh, this is going to be so fun! I can find you a dress and heels-" Katze gagged.

"You mean these?" She picked up a pair of heels she had tried earlier that day.

"Yes! Oh good you have some-"

"PLEASE NO!" She yelled dramatically. "Anything but that!" She flopped down on the couch, a hand over her eyes. "The horror! The agony!" Mery giggled, and Katze smiled.

"Well, what else would you wear?"

"Don't wear...Shoes?" She said confused.

"That's not socially acceptable."

"Oh, screw social norms." Mery gave her a look and she sighed. "Fine, let's go look at dresses."

The three girls entered the ball, Entrapta in her normal clothes, and the other two in dresses. Mery was wearing a dress with a scarf and a cute little bow on her tail. Her hair was braided with a feather in it, according to her traditions from Nipaline. Katze was wearing a blue suit with gold trims, and her hair was pushed back, and put in a fancy crown. For shoes, Mery had made her wear the heels, which she added knives that popped out when clicked against the floor three times.

"Oh wow! Look at all the people! You were right!" Entrapta squealed.

"Hang on. We need to greet the princess or something. And then we can search for a place to watch." The girls walked up the stairs and bowed to Frosta.

"Revered hostess, we come under the ancient rules of hospitality, bringing greetings from Bright Moon. And Entrapta, Princess of Dryl, with her plus one, Katze." Mery said. Who knew she could be so...Formal?

"The Kingdom of Snow welcomes you under the ancient rules of hospitality. Leave conflict at the door and enjoy the ball." Frosta said.

"Thank you." Entrapta, Katze and Mery walked down the steps and began to search for somewhere to analyze the ballroom. "Oh, what about that- Trapta?" She spotted Entrapta running to the food table, and followed her.

"Look, Cat, Mery! They have tiny food!" She said, showing her the tiny food and beginning to load up her pockets.

"Wait, really!?" Both of them shared a common love for tiny food. "Aw, look at the little hot dogs!"
