Chapter 1: Introduction

Adrian's POV:
Hi! My name is Adrian,Adrian Black. I am 7 years old but i look like I'm 13 already due to the werewolf gene.Both my parents are werewolves.

My dad Gabriel Black is the king of all alpha's and werewolves,basically the highest rank available in our world. Everyone respect's him. My mom Laura Black is the queen,she helps my father with his work.

Today, My parents said we have to go to the human kingdom for some reasons, I don't care much because I don't like them but if we are going,it's probably important.

I have two close friends Liam and Anthony,they treat me as their equal even if their dads are the beta and the gamma. I'm grateful for them considering when i take over the throne,they will be my beta and a gamma so it's nice to have your childhood friends along with you. I seriously can't wait to take over the throne,I'm so over everyone treating me like a baby.

I get up and walk to the bathroom,where my nanny is waiting for me;I've told everyone a thousand times,I'm a big boy yet no one listens to me.

I wash my face and take a shower completely ignoring her,I won't lie and say it doesn't feel bad,it does so much but i can do my work myself and she doesn't seem bothered so i think its fine.I change my clothes and look at myself in the mirror,you could say I'm attractive and I'm fairly tall for my height but I don't care much about looks.
After one more glance,I make it down to my fathers office.My father said its a important meeting so I'm wearing a black button up shirt and black dress pants.Yes i love black to death,its such a unique and underrated colour,how could you not love it.

My father takes me to his meetings when I'm doing nothing for the day, I know almost everything I need to know before taking the throne but now we're waiting for me to shift.I haven't shifted yet but i can talk to my wolf.

I've never been a sort of open person,my dad is partially a reason for it,he can sometimes get harsh but he's nice too sometimes.I know he loves me a lot so it doesn't bother me. Being the alpha kings son has it cons i guess. I was always taught to be harsh,strong and never let the opponent see your weakness.

I knock once on the door to my father's office but don't receive a answer so i just enter but shut my eyes close and scream because of the sight in front of me,

"OH MY GOD!!"

My mom is on my dad's lap and they both have their tongues in each others mouth.Its not the first time,I'm seeing this but still it grosses me out.My mom flinches upon my scream and tries to move out of my fathers grasp but he just laughs completely ignoring my horrified look,
"Cmon kiddo,its nothing bad" he says,

"YOU WERE EATING HER!" I accuse him.

He mumbles something incoherently and mom hits him on the back of his head.

He groans and says to me,

"Once you find your mate when you turn 18, you'll understand"
I look at him confused but don't question it. A mate?

My father senses my confusion and says,"A mate is a person who completes you and is always there for you,once you find them,you can't let them go."

My mother blushes furiously under my father's stare and I roll my eyes at her.My wolf purrs at the sound of our mate "Mine..." I repeat these words to myself and smile. I can't wait to meet my mate now.

"Well we should be going now!! We can't keep them waiting!!" My mom chimes in with a little panic in her voice.

My father hugs her and rolls his eyes at his wife. She just looks at him with a death glare. I start laughing but with one serious look from my mother,i stop. The words just leave my mouth,

"Is mom your mate?" I ask.He first smiles at her,then me and picks me up.

"Yes she is" while looking at his wife adoringly.

"Now letsss goooo!!!!" She says and checks her dress one more time in the mirror.We both laugh at her and head towards our big garage. Its really big with every type of car here since my dad loves cars. He told me he bought all of these from his business and the money he would get from the kingdom would go into the funds to help widows,orphans and people just in need. In our world, there was no poor since as my father always said,

              "A pack stays together and if they don't then i have failed myself as a leader."

I find it so inspirational,my father can be a heartless man but only to those who deserve it such as people who try to hurt us or rogues or who are a threat to us.

Rogues are lone wolves who are struck from the pack due to their actions. They betray their pack so they are sent off but if they enter into any other wolves territory,they are killed. If some rogue comes to seek help from the kingdom because of being mistaken or being born as a rogue,they take a oath to serve the kingdom casted by a spell and are given a small home with all the facilities but if they break it,they automatically die due to the powerful oath.

Chloe is my friend and her parents are our kingdoms trusted wizards. She's nice you can say and we used to spend a lot of time together before i was burdened with school and other responsibilities. Yes, i go to school because as i said before, my father is really strict on the matters of equality.

My school is all werewolf school and its nice. Me,Liam,Amber, Zach and Anthony go together and they make my life there easier. Amber is Anthony's wife. Shocking right? I was too when i found out.Both of their fathers are alphas and since Amber's mom died when she was born, they both signed a peace treaty and after since, they have been together.It wasn't a big deal since they liked each other a lot before the bomb was dropped on them.We're a gang and everyone calls us the ROYAL MUSKETEERS which i find stupid but ignore.I'm quite popular here but tend to keep to myself.

Our driver Carson who is also our kingdom's trusted driver opens the door for us and we climb inside the limo. It's a 2-hour trip over the bridge and I'm going to be so bored.I admire the scenery for the first 30 minutes,its so beautiful considering the fact I rarely go out due to the 'safety reasons'. I play and watch a movie on my ipad but soon get bored. One hour still left... i sigh to myself and decide to sleep for an hour or until we get there to kill some time. My parents are already asleep and my dad is snoring so loud... I don't know how will i sleep with this amount of noises and I don't know how my mom lives with it!! I close my eyes and eventually drift off to sleep...
