Chapter 10

Nevaeh's POV

I started to panic as I realised I was sinking. I started to throw my arms around in hopes of resurfacing the water. I was running out of breath fast and I had no way of getting out of this.

I started to loose consciousness as I tried hard to hold my breath. By now I've swallowed a lot of water and couldn't hold my breath. Just as I was about to loose all hope, I felt strong arms encircle my waist and pull me to the surface. I greedily breathed in air as I resurfaced. I coughed up all the water from my lungs, relieved to finally get air flowing through me. I immediately put my arms around Chase's neck, afraid I'll drown again.

"Hey hey, it's okay your safe." He said shoving my head into the crook of his neck and rubbing soothing circles on my head while his other hand was under my butt supporting my body. I probably would have been all flustered if I wasn't just drowning only moments ago. "Fuck.I'm so sorry Princess. I'm so so sorry. I thought you were just messing around with me as payback for pushing you in, until I saw you practically floating in the water I-" I lifted my head and pressed my finger to his lips to shut him up. "Chase it okay. How were you supposed to know I couldn't swim." It was now my turn to comfort him. There's no doubt he felt guilty for what just happened, but I didn't blame him. He couldn't of known that I can't swim.

"Don't beat yourself up about it okay?" I said taking his face into my hands. He nodded his head at me. As if we were only just now noticing our close proximity and position, I felt the air get heavier around us. His gaze travelled from my eyes to my lips and I bit them out of habit. He brought his hand up and untucked my lip from my teeth "I thought I told you not to do that" he said in a husky voice, his gaze still on my lips. I was in such a haze I couldn't bring myself to reply. He started to lean in and I did the same. I could feel the ghost of his lips on mine and just as I was about to move forward, we heard Carter shouting from the house " Hey guys, did I win?"

We backed away slightly from each other and with chase still holding me, he climbed out of the pool with me in his arms, and set me down gently. "Thanks" I said looking away, trying to conceal my blush, as thoughts of what happened only moments ago, resurfaced in my mind. He half smiled at me and gestured for me to follow him. We walked thru the door I first came out of, and he opened a shelf which had some towels in them. He reached up and took two out. As he did I couldn't help but admire his perfectly toned abs. His wet T-shirt clung to him, which gave me a great view of his eight pack. Yes I did say eight pack. Not even Darius has an eight pack! I felt the soft fabric of the towel drape around me and look up to see chase smirking at me. I blushed in embarrassment from getting caught. "Go away" I said slightly glaring at him and walking away. I heard him chuckle before following me. As we were walking to the others, a thought entered my mind. "Hey where's Matty?" I asked chase. "Friends" he replied. I nodded to show that I heard him.

When we arrived in the living room, with the rest, they all looked at us in confusion. " what happened to you two?" Asked sienna pointing at the both of us. I looked over to see chase with a guilty look on his face. " chase pushed me into the pool and I dragged him in with me" I said with an amused smile. I saw chase look at me with a small smile, in gratitude. I smiled back. "You guys should go get cleaned up and we'll get the food and blankets ready for the movie. Oh yeah, by the way, Carter won, so we're watching a horror" said sienna rolling her eyes.

"Sure, I'll be back in a few minutes" I said walking upstairs with chase. I recall sienna having a bathroom in her room so I went to take a shower in there. As I was about enter her room, I felt someone grab my hand. It was chase. "Thanks for not telling them. They probably would've murdered me" he said while playing with my fingers. "It's okay, they didn't need to know" I stated giving his hand a squeeze. He looked up at me and smiled. I gave him one in return and left him to go have a shower.

I got my pyjamas out of my bag and made my way into the bathroom. I put the toilet seat down and put my clothes and towel on the lid. Then got in the steaming, hot shower.

Chase's POV

I got in the shower and just stood under the water. I couldn't stop thinking about earlier. What if I didn't go in after her? She would have been gone. To say I didn't care about her would be a lie.

I stepped out of the shower and looked in the mirror. I despised myself for pushing her into the pool in the first place. A practical joke gone terribly wrong.

I dried off and put some sweats and a t- shirt on, then made my way downstairs. I went and sat on the couch, while sienna and Carter were on the other couch beside mine, and Asher was on a love seat on the floor.

I heard footsteps and looked towards the door. Nevaeh had dried her hair and had on shorts and another hoodie. She looked cute.

She came and sat on the couch beside me. She shivered so, I got a big blanket and spread it over the both of us. She smiled at me in appreciation and cuddled into the blanket.

She then spoke up "so what movie are we watching?" She said. "We're watching Friday the 13th" Carter replied. "Oh what's it about?" Everyone suddenly snapped their heads towards her in disbelief. "You've never seen Friday the 13th?! What kind of world do you live in." Exclaimed sienna. Nevaeh looked down in embarrassment. I glared at the three. "Uhhh, no worries vaya, you're watching it now" said Carter, averting his eyes away from me. She looked up and nodded with a smile on her face.

As the movie started, She layed down and tucked her legs in so they wouldn't hit off me. I grabbed her legs and put them on my lap so she wouldn't be uncomfortable. She blushed and looked away. I slightly smirked and rested my hands on her bare legs then turned to watch the movie. I felt sparks from the skin to skin contact, and oddly enough, they felt good. I looked back at her to see that her blush had deepened. I chuckled at her then started concentrating on the movie.

When the sex scene came on, azalea covered her eyes with a pillow. I silently laughed at her antics. Everyone was engrossed in the movie, so I moved up to hover above her. I removed the pillow from her face to see her eyes immediately close. I leaned down and whispered in her ear "why are you covering your eyes princess?" She opened her eyes and looked at me with a blush set on her face. "I- I uhhh" she stuttered as she darted her eyes to anywhere else to me. "Hmm?" I asked as I rubbed my nose along her neck. "They're having sex!!" She whisper shouted at me. "So? nothing you haven't done before right?" I questioned. "I- uhhh y-yeah totally" she said. She gasped when I lightly kissed her neck. I could feel my sweats getting unbearably tight. I moved my face back, above hers and asked "are you lying to me?" She looked down at my lips and replied "no?" It came out as more of a question than an answer. "you sure?" I asked, moving my hand down to her waist and putting my hand slightly up her hoodie, to rub circles on her waist. "No uhh- I mean yes" she said. I chuckled and sat back to my original seat.

By now the sex scene was over, and azalea turned back to the movie with her eyes wide open and her face bright red. I smirked at the effect I had on her.

Two hours had passed, and we were now watching a different movie. I looked around to see sienna and Asher were asleep and Carter was on the verge of falling asleep. I looked to Nevaeh to see she was asleep too. I myself was tired, so I moved Nevaeh and layed down beside her. I was too tired to walk to my bedroom so I'd just stay here for the night.
