Nevaeh's POV
It's been two weeks since the kiss between me and chase, and he's been ignoring me ever since. He'd always find a way to somehow leave, before I got a chance to confront him about it.
It was 9 o'clock at night, and I was on a run to clear my mind. I ran down the street, humming to a song I heard playing on the radio in chases car.
I turned my head around, feeling someone's eyes on me. No one was there. I know what you may think. Oh your just imagining things. It's dark and creepy. Of course your going to feel like that. No. I know for a fact, that someone is following me.
I turned into an alley way, and hid in the shadows. I waited for around seven minutes, until I saw three, fairly bulky men, walk into the alley. "She turned into here, I saw her" guy number one said. We're just gonna call them guy one, two and three for now. "Well clearly not!" Guy number three said irritated. "Just shut up and look for her, and remember, boss just wants her roughed up a bit to send a message. Hurry up before Kavanagh gets here. We barely managed to get away from him and his men." Guy number two said. Huh, so this just confirms my theory. They're here for me. Who's this Kavanagh dude they're talking about? Meh, not important.
They started scouting the area looking for me. One of them came up right in front of me with his back to me. I make my move and I hit a pressure point on his neck which instantly knocks him out. I catch him and carefully lower him quietly to the ground so I don't catch the others attention.
I stealthily, ran up to the next one and punched him right in the temple, knocking him out too. Two down, one to go. This guy had a bit more muscle on him. As I was sneaking up on him, I stepped on a pebble, making it scratch against the pavement. shoot. He turned around and caught sight of me. So much for being silent and deadly.
The guy looked at his two friends lying down unconscious on the ground then looked back to me. "Idiots can't do one job!" He said rolling his eyes. "I know! You would wanna get some trust worthy partners instead of these, whatever they are" I stated, waving my finger at the two men laying on the ground. He narrows his eyes at me. "Well, I would like to finish my run, and go home. So either you can let me go or...." I say, pausing for a dramatic effect. ".... you end up like your little 'partners in crime' over the-" I'm then, rudely cut off by him. "God! Do you ever shut your fucking mouth?!" He says rubbing his temple. "damn what crawled up your butt and died!?" I say, all my seriousness from earlier gone.
He gave me and incredulous look. "I envy, the people who haven't met you" he says pointing at me. "And your butt envies your mouth, for the amount of poop that comes out of it!" I say getting in his face. "Oh yeah!? Wel-" before he could reply he was hit on the head and fell to the ground with a thud.
I looked up to see chase with a gun which was most likely the cause of my 'dear friend' here being knocked out. "Trust you to be arguing with the person trying to kill you" chase says rolling his eyes. "Hey I'll let you know tha-" he cuts me off "shut up" what's up with everyone cutting me off today? It's quite rude if I do say so myself. "I'm sorry, could you repeat that? I have a hard time listening to jerks" I say cupping my ear moving it closer to his face.
"Hate to break up your bickering, but what happened to the other two?" Carter says from behind. "Carter?" I say. "Hey vaya." He says winking at me. I grin at him. "So?" He asks." Uhh their knocked out?" I say confused. Shouldn't that be pretty obvious?
"Yeah vaya babe, but who knocked them out?" Carter asks."Me" I say. They all stated laughing at me. Okay now I'm angry. "Just because I'm a girl, doesn't mean I can't kick theirs butts you know" I say trying to contain my anger. "No it's not that we don't think girls can't fight. It's just, I mean your tiny compared to them and they've got a lot of weight on you too" Carter says putting his hands up in surrender.
