It was almost too late. She had barely escaped with her daughters life as well as her own. They had come in the middle of the night. Witches. They came to find the girl of prophecy. Layna new they would come eventually but she wasn't prepared for what was to come. As Layna fled through the back door she heard a deafening explosion. She didn't want to turn around but she did anyway. Where their house used to have been there were now only ashes and cinders. She held her baby closer to her to tell her conscious she still had something left. Then Layna turned and fled. She had nowhere to go but she kept running. It had all happened at once.
