Jo loved school. Her favorite subject was band/orchestra which she shared with her best friend Liz. Liz was quite different from Jo, but that is what made them great friends. As Jo lived in the country, Liz was a city girl (more or less). Liz had her own clothing style and liked do do things her own way. Jo had always had more of a country style, which Liz thought was pretty boring but didn't object. The girls had almost all of the same classes, so they were together during most of the school year. When it came to band though, they were complete opposites. Jo was an oboe player and Liz was a tuba. They were the best of their group which each consists of two or three. After school they would walk to the bus stop and take the bus downtown. They would get off at Liz's street and Jo would ride her bike home from there. But when she got home after school one day she got something that she didn't expect....
