I'm allowed to go in and see Jo. It's been an hour since they had knocked out Jo. She's awake now but VERY on edge. I walk in the room to see her sitting on the bed. The longer I stared at her, the more I see the resemblance to that woman earlier. She looks up at me and then speakers in a very quiet voice,
" Was that her? Is she really my mom?"
I'm not sure what to say. She looks at my expectantly but I have no words. I'm not sure if I should answer at all. We sit there just staring for a long while.
"I have a bad feeling about her."
I finally tell Jo. She doesn't seem surprised, probably because she has a similar feeling.
"I want to believe that's my mom just to be able to say I found her. But then again I've waited this long, I think I can wait a little longer to get a straight answer."
She looks exhausted.
"I need to know that it's actually her Teddy."
She looks directly at me now. I don't know what she wants be to do. I didn't see where the strange lady went so I couldn't follow her even if I wanted to. At this point everyone walks into the room so we're not alone anymore. Everyone asks Jo how she is but she lies and tells them everything's fine. They all believe her but I can see that she's not okay. I'm worried for her. I look out the room window and I see the same woman from earlier. I am up and put of the room i'm seconds. I follow her right out of the city, hiding and staying out of sight. Then, out of nowhere, there's a bird made of fire coming out of the sky. The woman jumps on and she's gone. I turn back and run as fast as I can back to Jo.
