My Best Friend's Maid-of-Honor's Dress

"Okay great! Looks like we're still having the wedding, I can't imagine what would happen if it was cancelled!" Actually I think I can, I get Dan for myself.
"Perfect" Dan says has stares slightly at me, slightly at Kylee.
"I can't believe you were going to run out on me and this family," says Kylee, there goes this whole family conundrum again, "But I forgive you, I wouldn't be able to have this wedding without my best friend either." automatically she grabs me and hugs me tightly, she's been doing that a lot lately like she wants me to forgive her, but I don't know what about. "Speaking of my best friend, you need to be fitted for your maid-of-honor dress."
"What dress?" I say
"Oh, I know we were just talking about this. Kylee's picked out a gown for you." says phil
"Already?" Dan says almost as shocked as me.
"Yes, she says it's beautiful. I need to see this dress, how about me and Dan grab a bite to eat and show up at the store in an hour?" Phil asks, it must be an absolutely wonderful dress if phil has to see it this bad. I know I don't know him very well, but I know I can trust him. He's just so innocent, and I can tell we'll be the very best of friends.

I am stunned. I can't even speak. This is the dress Kylee picked for me? The 'absolutely wonderful dress' Kylee picked out? It's a horrifically awful 'gown', it's bright purple ball dress with puffy sleeves. and you'd think it couldn't get any worse, tassels, Kylee knows I hate tassels. I hate this.
"So what do you think?" Asks Kylee already knowing my reply, of course thinks it'll be a good one though. "I see you're speechless."
"*Gulp* Of course it's...it's surely special?"
"Great, that's exactly what I want for my wedding." since when did it become just her wedding?
"Well, how about we just wait for Dan and Phil to see what they think." hopefully they think the exact thoughts I'm thinking.

Dan and Phil bust through the door laughing their asses off about something, that doesn't seem funny to me now, maybe I missed the punchline.
"What's so funny, Honey?" Asks Kylee, slightly mad-seeming.
"Well, I was just talking about what I should do for my next YouTube video, when I said it needs to something no one's ever thought of and hard to do." says phil.
"That's when I said, 'that's what she said' and that's when we walked into the store," they both start to laugh again, this time I joined in on the laughing, because well 'that's what she said' jokes are hilarious! We're all laughing, except for Kylee, she hates dirty jokes...again I'm wondering why they're together.
"That's not funny." Kylee says but we all understand she's just demanding us to stop laughing. "Off that topic, what do you guys think about the dress, Lauren loves it."

Dan and Phil look at the dress and back at each other and start to laugh once again.
"What's so funny! There's nothing funny about our wedding, Dan!"
"Wait, the dress isn't a joke" I give a little smirk when Dan says this.
"Oh my god! It's horrific!" Phil yells, that's the loudest I've heard him talk. Ever.
"I agree, I believe Lauren would look much more beautiful in this dress." Dan pulls out the best dress in the whole store an absolutely wonderful gown, this time forreal. We all stare at the dress in awe, and I can't wait to try it on.
"No. you can't wear that! It's white, it's a wedding dress!"
"Maybe he wants her to wear a wedding dress!" Phil screams again. The whole store stares, but Phil doesn't seem to care. Dan gives him a look and nudges him, they both start to blush. "I mean, because that's what looks best for the wedding, you guys' wedding." he stares at me and Dan as he says this, but I know he's talking to Kylee.
"Well, it is a beautiful gown." is Kylee complimenting something but herself? "Well, of course not as beautiful as mine," nevermind. "I guess as long as it's not white and everyone is staring at me, it'll work."
Wait. Did Phil say Dan wanted me in a wedding dress?
