My Best Friend's Bonding Camp

Phil, Dan, and I walk through the door and the first thing we all see (well the first thing Phil and I see, Dan is to busy staring at Phil with wonderment...makes me love him even more, to have a connection with someone like that, he's loyal) is an 'excited' Kylee with her signature position standing at the front door, her with her arms folded leaning a bit to the left. The boys weren't used to this and jump back when Dan opened the door revealing Kylee's stare. It doesn't surprise me that she was just waiting for us like that though, she used to do it when I went on a date with my ex boyfriend in high school, she was always easily jealous like that. What surprised me was what she was holding in her hands...brochures? They were upside down, but at a glance o could read them, "The ultimate camp for curing un-happy campers," I may be the smartest person in my state but I couldn't firgure out why she needed brochures to a bonding camp. Does she think we need to reconnect? No, I'm sure she doesn't, and even if she did the wedding is in 2 weeks, and she wouldn't risk missing a single detail of this wedding even though she already has had this day planned out since she was 5 and a quarter.
"This is for Phil and you, Lauren. I can tell you guys are struggling with the bonding process. You always have been the... introverted one, Lauren." She hesitated at the word introverted, I could tell she memorized it from somewhere, but I don't know wh-wait! Has she been going through my stuff again? She must have found my psychology books, that damn Kylee. She knows I can't stand it when she looks through my stuff, especially my books. She must be trying to irritate me, because she knows that I know that she doesn't know what introverted means, and it's definition is in the first page of "Psychology 101"....I promise I'm not a nerd for memorizing that...
"Why do they have to go to that stupid bonding camp? We need them to help plan this wedding!" Dan asks trying to be polite, but anyone could tell he was faking. The way he said this makes me think they've discussed it before.
"Exactly why do we have to go?" I know what Phil is thinking, guess we don't need that bonding camp, sounds like someone wants us out of the house.
"Because you and Lauren will be godparents if we happen to have kids, and something happens to us." Dan looks at the floor when Kylee tells us this supposedly exiting news.
"We're going to be godparents?"
"If we have kids." Dan repeats.
"Okay, so we're all on board for this bonding camp?" Kylee directs her questions to Dan and Phil, because she can see they are thinking it over in his mind and I will not go for it, but if they do I will, she knows I'm a push-over.
"I guess if you think we need this to be godparents..." Phil agrees, I just sigh.
"It's good with me," Dan says, I sigh again, "You okay with this Lauren?"
"Yes.." I slowly nod my head.

"Camp Kookca, for 'kooks' who just need friends." I read aloud while we stare up at the sign at the entrance of the camp. "Yeah no. This won't work. I can't live here for the next two days, I feel like I'm in a horror movie. I mean they even have the cheesy-not-even-funny catchphrase!"
"Well you two can be a bit 'kooky' at times" Dan laughs a little. Phil and I just look at him like he's mentally insane.
"Dan, you're not the one who has to stay here, Lauren's right. I can't stay here, what about the wedding shouldn't we be helping?"
"Alright losers, let's get you signed in so Dan and I can get the hell out of here. I mean plan the wedding." Kylee says and gives me a menacing smirk.

Midnight.
"Psst" I wake up to Phil hovering over me, and I jump up, accidentally head butting him. "Ow, what the bloody hell was that for?" I get a weird feeling in my stomach, I know Phil isn't one to cuss all the time, like Dan and me.
"First what are you doing here?"
"Escaping."
