You've always been the weakest player, but you have a passion for teaching Jujutsu and empowering others to defend themselves and those around them. However, seeing Gojo's son standing at the entrance of his class made you reassess your life choices. Yet, as you observed him, you realized he was nothing like his father, and a sense of warmth grew within you. Maybe it was because you genuinely loved his father, but you treated him as if he were your own, and in return, he treated you like his own mother.
"Alright, so today Gojo paired the three of you with individual missions, and Megumi, you'll be joining me," you said warmly, trying to ignore the unsettling resemblance between Megumi's eyes and his father's. "The purpose of this activity is to assess how far you've come since you first started here," the albino explained, raising his sunglasses for better visibility. "So, the two of you will be joining the second-year class today!" He declared. He annoyed you to no end, but you put up with him and his childish behavior because you knew better than to hold a grudge against the strongest.
As you opened the door to the abandoned estate, a strange presence accompanied the historically beautiful structure. "This mansion was once owned by the Zenin descendants over a century ago, but it has been left deserted ever since the family inside was brutally killed by a special-grade curse," you explained. Your attention was drawn to Megumi, who cautiously moved from one door to another, battling minor curses along the way.
"Stop," you signaled to him, a sense of danger emanating from the door at the far end of the corridor.
"Y/n, please stay by my side," the young black-haired boy pleaded anxiously. Being the youngest child of your father, the presumed leader of your clan, you were different from the Zenins. They didn't mind if you lacked curse energy as long as you could guide your people to victory and peace. "Of course, I will!" You and Megumi were inseparable, to the point where others assumed you were a couple, although you never took that step. It was mainly because both of you understood the dangers and challenges that came with being sorcerers.
Feeling both a familiar and unfamiliar presence, you swiftly grabbed your cursed weapon and handed one to Megumi. With caution, you opened the door, only to be struck by a curse that Megumi effortlessly shattered while you remained frozen in place. "L/n-sensei?" Megumi was taken aback, expecting you to recognize the man standing before him. "Megumi," you finally uttered. Before you could share more, the other man lunged towards you.
"I'm bored," he declared, causing you to roll your eyes and place your book on the table. Weary from sparring with others but craving a refreshing warm drink, you agreed to his suggestion of visiting the new café down the road. As he led the way, you couldn't help but let your gaze drop. Sensing your weariness, he paused and casually remarked, "If you're tired, we can go tomorrow." "No, let's go and see what they have," you exclaimed, stepping forward. The two of you spent the day relaxing, engaging in conversations about what he humorously deemed "useless shit," and catching up on the overwhelming amount of work that awaited you both.
He threw a punch that landed squarely in your gut, forcefully pinning you against the wall. "Sensei!" you gasped, blood escaping your lips, causing the older Fushiguro to pause momentarily. Conflicting emotions and thoughts of war raced through his mind, leading him to feign indifference. His once vibrant emerald eyes turned black, indicating he was under the influence of some curse. "Give me a cursed weapon. I need to stop him," Megumi complied nervously, prompting a taunt from Toji, "Feeling brave now, are we?" You scoffed and retorted, "Toji, snap out of it."
You had played a motherly role in Megumi's life, displaying incredible bravery despite knowing you lacked the strength to protect everyone. He deeply admired and respected you, and you held the same regard for him. Witnessing you being taunted, he summoned his Shikigami dog to aid him, clenching his fists and burning with fury in his eyes. Charging towards Toji, you found your assault effortlessly blocked, his back turned to you. Megumi attempted to strike, but his blow was met with failure, resulting in a bleeding head and a cracked wall. "Stop it! You're only going to get yourself killed," you warned as you drove your weapon into Toji's side. "And leave your child to deal with the aftermath?" Those words made Megumi's head snap up to gaze at you, causing Toji to snap out of the curse that had gripped him.
Megumi's eyes shifted from the sinister black to the familiar emerald green that had always captivated you. "I won't forgive you," you whispered, barely audible, "and I don't expect you to forgive yourself." With determination, you stabbed yourself, prompting Megumi to rush to your side. You smiled weakly, holding onto Toji tightly as your eyes struggled to stay open. "Hey, what's your name?" the young man with green eyes asked, sounding perplexed. Taking a deep breath, he looked down at your peaceful form and replied, "Megumi Fushiguro." "That's good, my son," you said with a smile, knowing it wasn't canon. Anyway, he smiled back and gently ran his hands through your hair.
Toji awoke in a beautiful field of flowers, surrounded by vibrant blooms. A cherry blossom tree provided shade as he leaned against its trunk. He noticed the person embracing him, gazing at your serene figure, and gently shook you. "Sweetie, wake up," he whispered softly, his voice filled with emotion. "How beautiful," you whispered, rubbing your eyes and sighing. Delicate pink petals from the cherry blossom tree fell gently upon your bodies. He smiled warmly at you, free from worries and burdens, finally able to do what he had put off for so long.
"Toji?" you called his name, seeking his attention. He replied, "Yes?" "I think I'm falling in love with you," you unexpectedly confessed, glancing at him with a smile. "I said 'I think,' but I'm not entirely sure yet." You reassured him, and he nervously nodded, clearing his throat. Together, you made your way back to your house. Pumping himself up and smiling like an enthusiastic schoolgirl infatuated with a celebrity, he declared, "Then I'll make you fall even deeper for me." He resolved, "I'll make sure of it."
