Hidden Destiny

  GET UP LOSER! I hear GET THE HELL UP AUGUST!  Finally I'm fully wake as Scarlette crashes a pillow into my head.

"I'm awake, I'm awake geesh" I say
"At last, Sleeping beauty"
"shut up"
"Cry me a river, get dressed we have our next mission. If you want to be the one Odette the reason we are late go ahead and be my guest." 

"Ok, OK no need to get feisty" she smirks ah that smirk, it's addictive. I thrown on my black trousers, then black knee stockings. I puck on black linen over my tunic along with my smoke cutaway. I pull on my newly polished boots, then put a dagger is not my  first weapon of choice but Scarlette says your never prepared in less you have a dagger. My favorite choice for a weapon is two swords which I holster to my back. 

Scarlette laugh's

"What?!" I say already know what she's thinking
"A sword and a dagger are basically the same thing" I say with her mocking
"It's true" She exclaims
"not true"
"what's the difference"
"One's larger and more extended"
"Yea, big difference"
"Come on loser, I'll explain our mission on the way" she says while grabbing my head and messing up my hair

Were in Aramanth, this town is know for criminals and crawling with ravens. Scarlette's mother Odette is the leader of the Ravens, but were also know as assassins and bounty hunters,  or to a old women cursed.

"Sky what's the person were looking for"

"A common thief, Odette want's to recruit him"
"A common thief, so we just let anyone in"
"well, we let you in"
"haha very funny, seriously who is this guy"
"Guy of course you think it's a guy"
"Ok who is she"
"He is Trevor" she says with a vexed look on her face
"He is 25, with the skill to pick any lock, Odette needs him for a job"
"what job?"
"How would I know", "break into a bank or Steal a diamond"
"Or steal a kids treats"
"exactly" she releases
"Their"
"What" I say confused
"The red head with the blue trousers"
"Well that's not noticeable"
"Too noticeable, it's brilliant"
"Sure, I'll get the back, you get the front"
She nods then puts two fingers up to her forehead then flicks them off, like some kinda of salute. I chuckle softly.

 I see Scarlette in the front circling and the thief must notice because he makes haste to the back door. I grab him, but he slips away. Then all of sudden she punches him and he's on the ground unconscious. 

"I didn't need your help" I say embarrassed
She must notice because "No need to be ashamed, everyone needs help even princes"
I blush, I hate when she teases me about being a prince. Especially since only her and Margie know. I had to beg Margie to let become a raven. My father king of kavan, thinks I'm wasting my time being a raven, but I see it as a way to release to get away from the palace.

"Ok, lets get this thief back to the nest" Scarlettes say snapping me out of my train of thought

I wake him up with a bucket of water not wanting to have to carry him back. The the thief scrambles, but Scarlette already has him in chains.
"hello their Trevor, ready to meet your maker" she says in a way to happy voice
This makes the thief scramble even more
"I just kidding, your going to meet the leader of the ravens" She finally exclaims
The Thief's scrambling stops somewhat
Then she whisper in my ear "Which is basically the same thing" I turn to look at her and see a painful smile
Then she just picks up the thief, by his arms, I help her.

I know Scarlette doesn't like her mother or at least the way she talks about her makes it seem that way, but I never knew the real story. I know the being the child of the leader of the ravens mean she has been  a raven her whole life and is probably the best at what she does. Still I barely know about her family life, especially her father she never mentions him, but I know it's probably of a painful past. Her mother though Odette, I've known to be one of the cruelest people alive. She treats her daughter with no respect and cares nothing for the life of people. All she loves is money and Men.

Nearly 2 hours later we arrive at the nest, Ravens head quarters. Scarlette tells me to set Trevor down in a prisoner cell why she informs Odette. I do as she said, then went to the bar to get a drink. While I waited for the bar maid, I thought of the palace. I knew I had to go back soon, but I didn't want to I liked being here with the ravens I liked here with Scarlette. I didn't want to return to my father and see my brother Charles and be constantly reminded that I'm a bastard and my mother was just a mistress. Despite that I'm a bastard by blood I am a son of the king meaning that by law I have a right to stay at the castle. My father does not care for me, but he doesn't bother me like Charles and his crude mother the queen. This is why my father allowed me to become a Raven. Odette only allowed this because she always had a soft spot for the queen, so when he asked of course she obliged.

 She made me her daughters problem, Scarlette trained me for a year till she decide that I was okay enough to be out in the field. Over that time me Scarlette had become close friends, at first she just saw as something her mother did to make her life hell. After awhile we became close and she made me laugh and forget about the life I had at the palace.

 Sometimes I felt more than a friend, but I always pushed the thought out of my mind because I wouldn't ruin our friendship for anything.

Finally the bar maid came up to me
"Mead or water" she said with a charming smile
"Mead please" I said in a husky voice
She poured it in to a wooden cup before handing it to me.
"Thank you" I said and she just smiled

Out of nowhere I hear "She's into you" I didn't have to turn around to know it's Scarlette
"She's just being friendly sky..." I took a breathe then add "you know people do it even when they don't want something"
"Okay whatever you say" she says while putting her hands up, in a mock of a surrender.
She grabs a glass bottle from behind the wooden table and chugs it down
"that bad" I say talking about her mother
She swallows all the mead she just chugged and said "when is it not" and lets out a nonhumored chuckle
"did she tell you want she wanted him for" I said breaking the silence
"to break into one of her flings mistresses home" she exclaims
"Interesting" I say
She starts to laugh as hard as she can, it's not long after I join her 

After a couple hours of laughing and drinking were both worn out. Scarlette can barley walk, and before one of these pesky criminals can take advantage of her. I scoop her up and precede to carry her up to her room. 
"My hero" she says in a drunken voice
"Yeah, yeah" I say smiling down at this drunk sky
She just fall asleep in my arms and it sends chills down my spine, but quickly push any feeling away.
I go up the stairs to the top floor, where her rooms at she said the higher up the better, but it seems so hard now to walk all these steps to the fifth floor, finally I reach her floor then her bedroom. It's a good room she has a deck and a nice size bed. I place her on her side in bed then pull the covers. I linger for a little while to see her so peaceful makes me happy. Then proceed to travel back to my room on the second floor.
