I wake up and my head hurts, I should have expected this drinking that much what was I thinking. She just gets to me, it's okay I'll shut her out to day is a new day, mother will not get to me. I remember Augustus carrying me up to my bedroom and placing me in bed, if he wasn't their someone might have tried to take advantage of me considering this is a den of criminals, crooks, and murders. I think I remember calling him my hero, oh the things I say when I'm drunk. I couldn't imagine my life without Augustus. To thank him I'm going to find him a good girl, because he really needs help.

I get dressed in my usual attire, of black linen pants and shirt. I pull another set of black cow-skin pants over my linen ones. Then put on my black leather boots, along with the black leather cutaway that took me almost 12 full moons to save up for, I had it specially made. I put a dagger in each of my boots and put a series of knives in my cutaway, I had it made with different compartments so I could still fight and have my weapons secure.

I make my way down to the second floor and knock on Augustus's door
"Auggie you up" no answer

I walk in his bed is made up and he not asleep. He got up early that almost never happens and we drinked last night so that's saying something. I guess I'm finally starting to rub off on him. I finally walk down stairs, to the main level and quickly notice a handsome white hair male. He has grey eyes paled skin and frost colored hair. He is unfamiliar to me, I would remember a beauty like him. His eyes look up to meet mine, but I quickly dart mine away to fine Augustus. He is sitting talking to another raven, but looks up when he sees me and gives me a prominent grin which I mirror.

I start to finish my walk down the stairs and I see Augustus try meet , when I'm met with the handsome stranger "Hello there" he says with a weird accent
"What accent is that?" I question
"From somewhere you wouldn't know?"
"Try me"
"Another time, love" He says in a calm soothing voice and I gulp this is unlike me but I'm speechless
He continues to speak "I'm looking for Odette Monroe... Leader of the ravens"
"What do you want with Odette" My mother is probably sleeping right now and blame me for her inconvenience
He starts to continue "I-" but before he can finish I hear a chilling voice
"Now little bird that is no one to treat our guess, mind your manners"
"Yes, mam" I replied with and I see Augustus out the corner of my eye standing behind the mysterious stranger sharing a pitiful look. Uhh, I hate when people pity me, so I just shake my head at Augustus and give him a reassuring look.
"You must be the famous Magnus Coleman sorry about my daughter" my mother says practically throwing herself at him
"I am indeed... this is your daughter"
"Yes, but you wouldn't know she's all cruel" I know it shouldn't do anything to me, but I feel old scars start to open
"But she is my best Raven thanks to me training her well, and giving her some talent"
"Good to know, may we talk somewhere in private Ms. Monroe"
"Oh please call me Odette, and we may" She say with a wink and I roll my eyes, thankfully she didn't see me

Augustus comes up to me and says "What do you think that was about" I shrug my shoulders
"Come on let's go train" he nods in response. We walk out of the nest main building and go to the building right beside it, it's where all the ravens train. The gym is mostly empty except for Cirilla. She is a good friend and can be trusted, she is loyal to me, and take my side over Odette. She became a Raven a couple years ago, Odette recruited her from making weapons for a small shop and now she makes every Ravens weapon. Odette asked me to show her a few tricks so she wouldn't be fully defenseless, we grew to become good friends over that time.

"Hey, el" I say
"Good, morning Cirilla" Augustus Adds
"good, morning my favorite people" Cirilla say in a high pitched voice
"What do you want"
"What makes you think that sky"
"Your voice"
"Dammit, I really got to work on that" she mumbles under her breath
"So...what do you want"
"I want..."
"Spit it out already"
"I WANT YOU TO TAKE ME ON YOUR NEXT MISSON" She blurts out
"Not happening" I reply quickly
"You didn't even give it a thought"
"Because I knew my answer, you make weapons and just started to fight, it could be dangerous"
"I like dangerous" She says in a giddy giggle
"Our line of work is not a joke"
"I know, I know, but I'll never learn, if I don't start"
"El-"
"Lets make a deal... If I can beat you in one on one combat I get to go on your next mission"
I consider it, I will probably win so I say "Deal"
"Let's shake on it"
Augustus is in the corner chuckling to himself thinking the same thing I'm thinking this girl is mad.
"Okay if I can get you on the ground in the next 5 minutes I get to go on the next mission"
"Also no weapons" she nods in agreement
"3...2...1... Start"
