A/N: I have no rights to Left 4 Dead the game I'm just using it for my story.

When we walked to our cars, Nik decided to take a reluctant Daryl's truck, and Daryl rode with me. We followed Nik to his house and when we got there it was already 6:15 which was apparently when Nik's family had dinner.

I was greeted enthusiastically by Mr and Mrs Freund. We had a spectacular dinner consisting of pork chops, corn, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cooked carrots. It was delicious.

Nik, Daryl, and I went to Nik's room and I found a collection of zombies and horror movie stuff. Daryl immediately went over to the TV and the Xbox 360. I guess he was setting up for the Left 4 Dead game he was talking about earlier.

Him and Nik sat on the floor at the foot of the bed while I sat up on top of the bed, watching them play.

It looked like a fun game that was zombies, of course. There were all these "special infected" too. It seemed like a lot to handle at once.

"Hey Stephanie, why don't you play a round?" Daryl and Nik both looked at me with expectant eyes. "I don't know how to play."

Nik was quick to reply with, " I'll teach you then!"

He jumped onto the bed, kneeled behind me and pushed the controller into my hands. He gently positioned my hands on the controller and place his over top of mine. I was surprised when I felt his breath on my ear and his toned chest against my back.

"Okay, so this button makes you shoot and this one is your elbows, very useful during a horde. This nob moves your person while the other one shifts your view." He was pressing each button as he spoke of what they did.

"Those are most important. Then there's the special infected, smokers have long tongues and pull you  towards them, then release a puff of smoke when they die. Hunters pounce on you and rip at your mid section. Boomers puke on you, screwing with your vision and attracting zombies towards you, stay back when you shoot them as well. Then there's the witch who sits on the ground and cries, don't shoot her or get too close or she'll tear you to pieces. And then there's the-" Daryl gave him a look I could only interpret as a 'don't tell her' look.

"And that's it! Go on, try and play for a little." I knew they were keeping something from me but I tried it out. I was so bad cause I couldn't handle all the controls very well. Daryl saved me and stopped multiple times because I was struggling.

All of a sudden my controller started vibrating madly and Nik took the controller from my hands.

"What? I'm getting the hang of this, what is it?" Then I saw it, this huge zombie throwing rocks and cars at the players. "Its a tank." Man he looked scary.

It was so much worse on the last level. Like five tanks and endless hordes. Amazingly, they both made it onto the helicopter at Mercy Hospital.

"Woah! That was the bomb!" Daryl said and high fived Nik enthusiastically. Suddenly I yawed, what time was it?

"I think its time to go beddy-by for Stephanie." Daryl stated with a pouty look on his face.

"Okay, we have an extra bedroom, my room, and the couch." Nik looked at Daryl and me.

Daryl immediately spoke up, " I'm not sleeping in this room!" Nik looked to me then.

"Do you mind sleeping in the creepiness of my lovely room?" I shook my head no. "Cool, you can room in here. Daryl you can take the guest bed at the end of the hall." He took off leaving me with Nik.

"I'm going to go crash on the couch, are you good in here?" He seemed so concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He flashed me a smile before heading towards the door. "Hey Nik!" He turned around to face me, "you got anything I could wear to bed?"

"Oh, yeah sure." He quickly rummaged through his drawers and pulled out a pair of plaid pajama bottoms and an old Nightmare Before Christmas T-shirt. "Here you go, I'll just go now."

I changed and climbed into his bed. It was so comfy!

After about two hours of laying there, I gave up on sleep. I slowly crept out of the room and found Nik sound asleep on the couch.

I slowly made my way to the guest bedroom and pushed the door open quietly. I saw Daryl laying in the bed. I walked over and whispered his name to find he was still awake. "Well hey there Stephanie. Couldn't sleep?" I nodded my head.

"Would you play Left 4 Dead with me?" I really did like that game and Daryl agreed to play.

We walked back to Nik's room and set up the game. I handle the tank pretty well and even passed the last level.

Turns out Left 4 Dead made us both tired and Daryl headed back to bed. As soon as my head hit the soft pillow, I was out. And I  had a nice, dreamless sleep.
