Chapter 22- So This Is Goodbye

A/N: So I added a picture even though clothing in the picture doesnt fit the scene.

I will love you till the end of time. I would wait a million years-

"Yeah?"

"Steph, I'm leaving in six hours."

"Meet me at the hotel?"

"Yep."

Today was the day I've been dreading since the fair. Nik is leaving today for college. As will I in a few weeks, I'm going to West Virginia University.

I get in my car and drive over to the hotel.

I walk up the stairs of the old abandoned hotel that has become like a meeting place for Nik and I.

I wasn't really presentable when Nik called me. I was laying in bed still with my jean shorts on from yesterday and a bra. So I pulled on the first shirt I saw, the flanel that was Nik's. I buttoned it up since I didn't have on an undershirt.

I reach the roof and I see Nik sitting in one of the chairs looking extremely nervous.

"Nik."

He jumps from his chair and looks at me. "You're wearing my shirt."

"Yeah, from when you saved me. I can't believe how far we've come."

Nik begins to walk over to me and I see the ghost of tears. When he reaches me he kisses me.

I automatically kiss him back. The kiss soon turns heated and I end up straddling him in one of the chairs.

But then it starts raining. I jump back at the suddenness of the rain. Its not like its sprinkling, no, its pouring.

I chuckle and lean my forehead against Nik's, letting the rain hit me.

"I don't want you to leave..."

"I don't want to leave you."

It was time for Nik to leave. Everyone was gathered about, ready to see him off.

It was a line of hugs. Alexis, then Dria, then Ginny, Al, Beth, and a long hug from Daryl.

Then it was my turn, I flung myself at Nik and attached my lips to his.

I heard Al mumble in the backround. "See Alexis, I told you they had gotten together." But when I pull back and look at them, Alexis is giving Al death glares with her whole body faced away from him.

A small chuckle escapes me and I whisper to Nik. "I won't forget you."

"I'll always love you Steph. You're my book nerd. I'll be sure to send you books." He teases me as he walks to his car.

I also return the teasing. "Don't forget blue pens!"

When he opens the door to his car he retaliates. "Okay so, books and lots of black pens."

"No! I hate black pens. Only blue ones!"

"I know! Goodbye everybody, I'll miss you."

As he drives off we all wave at him.

A/N: So I said I would update on Sundays. Technically its Sunday! (Posted at 12:22 am and my friend is yelling at me for it )
