𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐊 𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃, the sound seeming to echo in the silent room. Everyone was silent, their gazes to the papers laid in front of each of them. She glared down at the sheet, her jaw set firmly. A picture of a woman laid in front of them, her eyes gouged out, and her skin pale as she laid on the metal table.

“This is the work of a curse?” Utahima, from the sistering school, asked, looking to the paler woman. “You’re sure of it?”

“Yeah. There was a similar case a few years ago as well,” Ieiri replied. “L/n-san was assigned to it.”

“Then it was handed to the police,” The e/c woman mumbled. “He was human, and he didn’t react to the level 4s that we let out in front of him so there was no way we could have proven anything. He was marked as a serial killer, then put to death.”

“Now we have the evidence that he’s risen back as a Special Grade Cursed Spirit,” Yaga said, crossing his arms over his broad chest.

“And he's back to killing innocent people again,” Utahima said.

“Yeah,”

The room fell silent once more. Gojo saw Y/n turn her head away, tapping her arm impatiently. He knew it would be a few more moments before she would do it. She sat forward and slid the picture away from her, unable to look at it any longer.

“I’ll exorcise him,” She stated, rising to her feet. “I started on this one, so I’ll finish it too.”

“Then it’s decided,” Yaga said.

“Huh? You’re just gonna let her do that? No questions asked?” Kimari, one of the newest sorcerers asked.

“L/n-san is also a very powerful sorcerer, Kimari-kun,” Utahima said, looking to her former student. “She is also your superior.”

“M-My apologies!” She exclaimed, bowing her head. “I-I didn’t realize!”

“No, don’t worry about it,” The woman said, waving her hand dismissively. “I don’t care about it. But don’t let it happen again.”

“Y-yes ma’am!”

Y/n turned and walked from the room, giving a single flick of her fingers to dismiss the meeting. She heard scuffling as she walked away. Slipping her hands into her pockets, her lips stayed in a frown as she walked down the hall.

So it was true then. He had really had come back to life. But why? Why now, and for what purpose? What had made him so vengeful that he would be reincarnated as a cursed spirit? She didn’t know right now, but she was bound to find the answers.

“Y/n-sensei!”

She looked up as she slipped her shoes on, watching Itadori jump up and down while waving his arm to catch her attention. Kugisaki and Fushiguro were beside him, both of them smiling. Itadori’s smile outshined them as he called to her. She sighed, the frown on her lips tugging into a small smile.
