You slept in a little the next day, but took time to start packing things. It felt like hours, getting everything together. In actuality, it didn't take all that long at all, but you were tired from it. After taking a few minutes to rest, you set off to the castle again. The first time you ever entered that palace, everything was looming and intimidating, even the short Queen.
You bumped into her within the throne room, nearly dropping everything you were holding. Glimmer teleported and grabbed what she felt was close to hitting the ground. She let out a sharp exhale, and looked back to you.
"Our bedroom isn't that far. I'll help you get everything in there, then start the endless paperwork." Glimmer casually told you, then lifting a couple things. You nodded and walked besides her, in the recognizable path to her bedroom.
She said 'our,' this is really happening.
Without a word, once you got to the doorway, she took your wrist every so gently and teleported you into the room. She sat the bags against her dresser, so you leaned what you carried beside everything there. The possessive second-person word still rang throughout your ears.
"Are you okay to unpack by yourself while I start signing things?" Glimmer asked you in a tender manner, before rolling her eyes at the thought of the hassle of paperwork. You assured her that you'd be fine, but needed to sit down for a couple minutes.
You realized how the bed was built. Right. Glimmer must have seen the look in your eyes, so she took your hand and led you to the other side of the bed. Steps that almost seemed to float were there for you. You let out a laugh and pressed your forehead against hers, just for a moment. Carefully, you climbed atop to the mass of cushion and pillows above. Looking down to the Queen, you gave her two thumbs up.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" You reassured her, smiling wide.
"I'll check on you later, Y/N!" Glimmer called, then teleporting away. You laid back, exhaling contently. Everything under you was soft, just as your pounding heart currently felt.
Wow.
