It was about two years ago when Princess Prom happened, and your first time with the Queen. It felt great, you always thought. But even for two years things were awkward whenever you saw Castaspella. You really didn't understand what you did for her not to like you. Glimmer has told you to just shrug it off because the Sorceress can be a lot every so often.
Glimmer has a good memory, so you've assumed that she remembers what day it is. You know she's a little dramatic so you made sure to remember, and plan some surprises at that. Regardless, you would have remembered, anyway. You woke up early to head to the castle, knowing Glimmer was likely still awake— as according to plan. You were right, too. The throne room was empty when you entered.
You let out a sharp sigh, one of relief at that. You needed to find the kitchen staff now, but you heard a voice call your name. In response, you nearly jumped out of your skin, until you turned your head.
"I don't think I've ever seen you around this early." A man said, crossing his arms and chuckling. It took you a moment to realize Micah was talking to you. He was literally scarred, and his black hair was fading into a light gray. He smiled at you, "You look relieved. What did you expect, my sister?"
You looked at him and laughed. "I'm just a little nervous is all. I've been planning something big for Glimmer."
"So has she, but I can't share details." Micah casually said upon quirking a brow at your explanation. "Can I help in any way? You look tired, Y/N."
You nodded, then telling him that you needed to get to the kitchens, because you had a plan. Everyone knows that Glimmer's favorite food is cake, as sweet as her personality. He decided to walk you there so you wouldn't get lost. You've done so before.
Upon walking into the kitchen with the Sorcerer, you were met with the strong smell of a chocolate cake. It made your mouth water, but you had the willpower to wait for your partner's surprise. It looked like it had just been decorated. You smiled at the view. Micah could tell that it was all going smoothly. He gave you a thumbs up and a smile.
He's such a... Micah's such a dad. You could tell that he just wanted to help you out. The kitchen staff had prepared it before schedule, which was good. The decoration was fitting for her. It was, well, sparkling. Next to it, you placed a note you had hand-written for the occasion. It was placed carefully so that frosting wouldn't stain it.
You took a deep breath, in about thirty minutes, the Queen would be up and about the palace. You knew, from your sleepovers that the first place she would go was to the kitchen, to see what was prepared or to request something specific. You had come to the decision that one day of cake for breakfast was alright. She did deserve something nice.
That half an hour seemed to take forever, but you took the cake to her bedroom door on the dot. Your hands were full, so you knocked with your left foot. After a bit, Glimmer opened her door. Her hair was disheveled and it looked like she just threw on her gown. She looked surprised, and grabbed your shoulders, then teleporting you onto the bed before you could drop anything. Glimmer exhaled. "What are you doing?"
You chuckled. "Good morning. It's your favorite." She rolled her eyes, and sat next to you, then brushing bangs out of her face. Glimmer picked up the folded paper you had set next to the cake and opened it up, beginning to read. You then smiled, "Happy anniversary, Glimmer."

Glimmer,
I'm so glad you and I got to know each other. These have been my best two years, and you know we've been through shenanigans, rough patches, and... other things. We've gone through awkwardly meeting the family, and going through all of it is nothing because I spent it all with you. I want with everything in my heart for you to be happy, and I hope I've been doing that.
I love you.

The Queen grinned, and kissed your cheek ever so tenderly. She set the note on the nearby desk, then scooter the dish which the cake sat upon onto her lap, to give you some wiggle room.
"I love you, too." Glimmer said, "And I wanted to ask you something."
"Yeah?" This must be the surprise Micah mentioned.
"Will you move into the palace with me?"
You felt utterly shocked, and your face went flushed, and you knew you couldn't say no. But you've wanted to for awhile now, so you nodded with a happy "yes."
