Wednesday morning preparation for ns for the party was in full swing. Hermione and Ginny were decoration the outside garden while the boys prepared the small Quidditch pitch for a game or two. Accents of rose gold and silver could be seen through the forest green that Myra had insisted on having. Hermione knew that had Myra gone Hogwarts there would have been no doubt that she would be in Slytherin like her father. By two-thirty everything was ready the only thing missing was the guest. Myra had invited the whole of the Weasley clan, the Longbottom's, the Scamander's, and a few other friends that she had met while at the reunion that Hermione approved of. Myra was standing next to James and Hermione as the first guest arrived. Myra had decided to where the dress that her Mum and Aunt Ginny got for her.
The first to greet Myra was Madison Longbottom not far behind was the rest of the Longbottoms. Not long after came the Weasleys and the Scamander's and a few other individuals. While the adults talked the teens talked about school and relationships and what was to come after graduation. As the party went on they played two Quidditch games the second time Myra's team won. Not long after it was time to cut the cake and for Myra to open her presents. From the Potters she received,
From the Longbottoms
From the Scamander's
From Hermione
Myra had loved everything especially the dress she got from her mother. She had planned to wear it when she got back to New Orleans when she would celebrate with the rest of her friends. She also loved the wax seals she received because they seemed to bring her closer to her mother. After everyone had left they began the clean-up when an owl came flying towards Hermione. When Hermione took the note from the owl she glanced at it before setting it aside and returned to cleaning. When Hermione went inside to put the lights away Myra went over and looked at the letter on the front it read her mother's name and in the corner, it read: Draco Malfoy
Myra stood there shocked as to why her Mum had been sent a letter whom she assumed to be Leo's father. She ignored it and went back to work finishing packing up the gold and silver vases filled with enchanted flowers. Once everything was put away the Potters and Grangers sat in the living room either chatting, reading, or playing chess. As Myra was playing wizards chess with Albus a knocking sound came from the window. Harry walked over to find that an owl had a small package and letter tied to its leg. He looked at the box before handing it over to Myra.
"For me?" Myra questioned. All Harry did was nod his head and handed her the package and envelope. Myra open the package to reveal a small black box. When she open the box she found a ringShe then opened the letter and read it aloud;
My dearest Myra,
Happy early birthday. You might be wondering who sent you this, I will get to that in a moment. This ring has been in my family for generations passed on to the next female in the family. It was supposed to be given to your mother and then to you on your seventeenth birthday. Seeing as you are almost seventeen I believe it was time for the ring to finally leave my possession and enter yours. I wish you the best and know that no matter what I have always been looking out for you. Give your mother my love and tell her I will be seeing the both of you very soon.
Best of wishes
Your Grandmum
Myra looked over to her Mum with a confused look spread across her face. Looking har her mother she saw that she knew something and was not telling her. She cleared her throat inviting her mother to speak which she didn't so instead she looked at the ring. The two snakeheads with the ruby in the middle brought great interest to Myra. If in fact, this was a family heirloom from her Grandmum what had she just know reached out. The other thing that loomed on Myra's more was what did she mean that she had been watching over her.
