Chapter 25 - the big plan.

"easy dad, you've just woke up." Zirconia said helping coal to his feet. "thank you, son." He looked around the room and he couldn't find obsidian, but he could see topaz. "where's your sister?" coal asked zirconia. "she's defected." He explained, solemnly. "I see, did you find a way of making the machine work without the traitor." "she's still your daughter and my sister." Zirconia reminded coal. "I'm sorry, but did you find a way?" "it took filling the entire upper floor of the bunker with crystals, but we can go through with it." zirconia responded waiting for his dad's approval. "nice work son." He simply responded. "coal, can I talk to you in privet?" topaz asked. He followed her.

"what were you thinking. I told you this was to dangers. Lapis isn't even stable." Jasper asked. "I had no other choice; you were locked up and I was going to die. Do you have any idea what would have happened to me if onyx found out who I am?" coal asked, "she already has." Topaz responded. Coal took a few steps back and he sat down. "what happened to the fire one?" he asked. "he got kidnaped and there trying to get answers out of him." Topaz explained. "now, what are we going to do?" he asked, when they heard footsteps walking down the stairs. Topaz got into a fighting stance and she got ready to defend coal. "calm down, it's me spinel." He said walking into the bunker. "how did you get out?" topaz asked. "I didn't tell them much, just what you've told me." Spinel responded.

"so what is this big plan of yours anyway?" topaz asked. "simple, we're going to make a version of the portal machine that can make and keep open multiple portals at once. We go into the different dimensions and we gather the needed parts to go back intime and undo all of our miss doings. Including making those mistakes." Coal explained. "why did you make these fakes of us?" spinel asked. "it wasn't just me but think of what we could do with a time machine. We could go back and make you stronger. We could make topaz the true queen of this kingdom, and we could make it so were immune to any timeline changes." Coal made the other two imagined. "what about your daughter?" topaz asked. "the traitor, we could make It, so she never left." Coal explained.

"ALLRIGHT, LISTEN UP! WE NNED TO GET STARTED ON THIS MACHINE BEFORE THOSE FAKES CATCH ON TO US!" coal yelled as he gave everybody their instruction. They tried to finish the machine and it was coming along smoothly, until something green and grey entered the bunker. "what is going on here?" onyx asked making her sword and shield. "zirconia, here's your chance to show yourself to me. Kill this fake." He asked of his bootleg son. He nodded and ran straight for onyx. She took off, knowing she had just lured zirconia off and she took off for the water. She started running on it and her suit activated and she dived under the water. "where did you go?" zirconia demanded to know. Onyx busted out of the water and got him caught in water chains.

He started shaking, faster and faster, and he boiled the water. Onyx lost her, weak, footing on the water, using her powers to walk on it, and she fell into the water. "I won't let you stop me this time." "unluckily for you, I don't die easily." "where's your back up?" zirconia asked. "I couldn't wait to meet my dad properly." She said grabbed her multi tool off of her back and she shot of a boiling water attack. He dodged and she tried the new synthetic crystal. It worked, for a few seconds, but she was able to nock zirconia off balance and he fell into the water. "what was your plan here?" zirconia asked. "to get there most powerful bootleg away." Onyx responded encasing him in water chains, that she pressured into becoming ice chains.

Meanwhile the others where approaching the bunker. "boss, we've got a problem. They are approaching." Marble said. "where nearly done. When I give the signal you come back here, and you go into your portal." He said giving them a watch and they headed off. "nooo. You need to let me go and help them." Zirconia said trying to heat up the chains. She kept her grip on the chains strong, and she kept the pressure on the water strong. "he eventually entered his heightened state and a burst of energy came out of him. It wasn't like onyx's outburst; it was purely horizontal, and it was more of a teel then his usual green. Onyx was sent under the water and she rose to the surface to see he was gone

She went to the battlefield and it was not a pretty sight. She grabbed the other bootlegs and she dropped them all off in one spot. "what did you get out of him?" granite asked. "a nearly broken arm, and I nearly died from being forced underwater. Otherwise, he was useless to me." Onyx explained as they head a simultaneous beep, coming from the bootlegs. "what was that?" Citrine asked as opal nocked them all down and marble locked them in a rocky prison. Granite broke her and onyx out and sent onyx after the bootlegs. When she entered the bootlegs where gone, topaz and coal was gone, and the crystals where drained.

"where are they?" glass asked, being the first one in the bunker. "they're gone, the crystals are drained. I can find where they went, but It'll take time." Onyx explained. He walked up to the machine and downloaded what she could to her suit. "they left for different dimensions, however there is a 6th space, but I can't find where it went." She explained. "all right gang return to the citadel and gear up. We have an interdimential trip to make?" granite called out to the 10 person group.
