Chapter 3

          We walked through the trees for some time. I kept falling behind. I'm tired from running from the cops. A tall man that looks like the one in the suit saw me. He must like polka dots because that's what he's dressed in. He smiled, picked me up, and put me on his back. "You must be tired, sweetie!" he said happily, "I'll give you a piggy back ride there! I'm Splendorman!"
          I'm heavy, though, I thought to myself. I heard the man in the suit laugh. "Heavy?" he said in between giggles," You're as thin as air!"
          I stared at him. "You can read minds or something?" I asked.
          The guy in the hoodie said sarcastically, "No! He was guessing on it!"
          I glared at him. He's such a jerk. Sally hit the guy's head. "Don't be mean to Marie, Jeff!" she said.
          Jeff glared at me. Or so I think he did. His eyelids are gone. I smirked at him. He looked away, cursing under his breath. "What was that, Jeffery?" I asked as I leaned toward him, "Come on. Say it louder, Jeffery."
          Jeff took his knife out and tried to stab me. He couldn't because of Splendorman's height. "BITCH!" he yelled as a guy with a white mask that looked liked a girl and a guy with a red frown on a mask pulled him back.
          I laughed crazily and jumped off of Splendorman's back. "COME AT ME, BRO!" I yelled as I stood in front of Jeff.
          He broke free and ran to me. He tried to stab me but missed as I dodged them all. I laughed as I tripped him, pulled his ankle up, put my foot on his back, and pulled his ankle toward his head. He yelled out. "Not so tough, huh, Jeffery?" I whispered in his ear as I let go and stepped off his back.
          He turned to me and whispered, "Fuck you."
           I laughed as I turned to see a giant black portal like hole on the brick wall. Sally was about to walk in when she saw me. "You coming?" she asked.
          I smiled, turned to Jeff, and said, "Better catch up for revenge, Jeffery!"
          He 'glared' at me and got up. "I'll get back at you!" he yelled angrily, "You'll s-"
          I didn't hear the rest. I was already through the portal.
