Chapter 21

Marie's POV

          I woke up to the sound of my new alarm clock. It plays songs to wake me up. Today it played This Is Halloween from Nightmare Before Christmas. I pushed the snooze button and rolled out of bed. Literally. I stretched on the floor and untangled myself from my blankets. I walked to my closet, stopping to look at my calendar. I smiled broadly. Today is Halloween. "I'll dress as girl Jack for today!" I happily cheered as I opened the closet door.
          I took out a black and white stripped vest, a black tie that's identical to Jack's, a white dress shirt, a black skirt, white leggings, and my knee high black boots and ran to the bathroom. I took a quick shower and change. I brushed my teeth, humming the Oogie Boogie song. Once I finished cleaning my teeth, I brushed my hair. "You're joking," I sang, pulling my hair up into two ponytails, "You're joking. I can't believe my eyes. You're joking me. You've gotta be. This can't be the right guy!"
          Once I finished, I placed my top hat with a spider on a black spider web on and I walked downstairs while still singing the song. I pointed at Jeff and sang, "He's ancient. He's ugly. I don't know which is worst!"
          Jeff glared at me, gripping onto his knife.I smiled and skipped next to Sally, who was trying not to laugh. "I might just split a seam now if I don't die laughing first!" I sang, giggling with Sally.
          I stood in the middle of the living room, still singing. "Mister Oogie Boogie says there's trouble close at hand," I sang loudly, "You better pay attention now! Cause I'm the Boogeyman! And if you aren't shaking, there's something very wrong! Cause this maybe the last time you hear the Boogie song!"
          I heard someone run downstairs. I look to see Ticci-Toby standing there. "Release me now you must face the dire consequences!" he sang, "The children are expecting me so please come to your senses!"
          I smiled, skipped to him, and sang, "Ha! You're joking! You're joking! I can't believe my ears! Can someone shut this fellow up! I'm drowning in my tears! It's funny! I'm laughing! You really are too much!"
          I grabbed Ticci-Toby's sweater and pulled him close to me. "And now with your permission," I sang, "I'm going to do my stuff."
          He looked at me with a fake fearful face, his cheeks a little pink. "What're you going to do?" he sang, fake fear in his voice. I smiled evilly and sang, "I'm going to do the best I can. WHOAAAA!"
          I pushed him and jumped on the table, holding onto a pair of dice. "THE SOUND OF ROLLING DICE TO ME IS MUSIC IN THE AIR!" I sang, throwing the dice at Jeff while more people came in and watched me, "CAUSE I'M A GAMBLING BOOGEYMAN, ALTHOUGH I DON'T PLAY FAIR! It's much more fun, I must confess, when lives are on the line! Not mine, of course, but yours old boy. Now, won't that be just fine?"
          Ticci-Toby came onto the table and sang, "Release me fast or you'll have to answer for these heinous acts!"
          I pushed him off the table playfully, him landing onto the couch. "Ha!" I sang, "You're joking! You're joking! You're putting in a spin! You aren't comprehending the position that you're in! It's hopeless! You're finished. You haven't got a prayer!"
          I smiled evilly at Ticci-Toby and sang the last part evilly, "Cause I'm Mister Oogie Boogie. And you ain't going nowhere." I smiled and pulled Ticci-Toby back onto the table. I took my hat off and bowed, everyone clapping at mine and Ticci-Toby's performance.

Slenderman's POV

          I heard a lot of clapping from the living room. I looked to see Marie and Ticci-Toby standing on the table, everyone else clapping. I walked up, asking, "What on earth are you two doing up there?"
          Everyone turned around, Marie smiling big. "Today is Halloween, Slendy!" she said happily, jumping off the table, "So I decided to sing a song from Nightmare Before Christmas. Ticci-Toby sang with me and he sings amazingly!"
          I looked at Ticci-Toby, who blushed at Marie's comment and scratched the back of his head. "Thanks," he said.
          I sighed, placing my hand on my 'face'. "Please be for quiet from now on," I said. Suddenly, I was hit with realization. "You said today is Halloween?" I asked, trying not to sound too questionable.
          Marie nodded, smiling big. I looked around. "It's exactly one month since you've arrived," I said.
          Right when I said that, Splendor opened the door, happily saying, "THIS CALLS FOR A CELEBRATION!" Everyone cheered. I sighed and walked back to my office.
          "I'll be in here if you need me," I said as I closed the door. I sat on my desk and shoved my head into my hands. "Today's the last day I have to choose," I said, rubbing my temples. I still can't believe Offender is blackmailing me.
          I looked at the paperwork on my desk. I decided to do paperwork to get my mind off of things. As I finished half of it, I stopped writing and took the folder out. Marie is a very kind girl. I don't want any harm done to her. I looked at the clock. Only an hour passed. I placed the folder back and went back to work. I'm not letting her get hurt. I'll tell her myself.
