Omg, I can't believe it's been so long... aaaa I'm so sorry!! ><'' and holy heck, I did not expect to get so much feedback when I was gone! Thank you so much for every comment and vote!! qwq
Lots of things have gotten me occupied! Including me writing my very first official novel! It's an ongoing project, and it's far from done! But within a few months, I hope to make it public on some platforms! And if you like this story, perhaps it will tickle your fancy as well? It's very similar to this story, minus the Undertale elements and characters.
If you want to follow this project you can do so on my Instagram, or on deviantart or twitter! (which I'll be more active on soon shhhshshhs) It would really mean a lot if you could maybe at least leave a like or two? qwq There will be updates there about this fic as well!https://www.instagram.com/pixiehobbitcg/

Y'all stay safe and remember to keep distance to each other!

When Alphys got to the room she was met with a trio of sleepers. Considering everything that Papyrus had learned recently, needed rest too, she thought. Time to process this. They all did.
Sometime later, the lanky skeleton was scooped up by the fiendish fish-monster and taken to a proper bed on the first floor, so he could rest better. Frisk was cared for by Toriel once more and with that hours started to pass.
Asgore was not yet contacted, because of course, he was unavailable the one moment that Toriel actually wanted to talk to him. She even left a message one time, which went against every bit of her dignity, but bigger things were at stake, and for that, she swallowed her pride. At least she was here, and that was more than enough, should this Gaster decide to do anything. If anything, this whole mess had reminded her of what she used to be. The need to be someone the others could rely on, someone they could count on to keep them safe, surfaced more and more for each second. Her royal demeanor hadn't changed much, and if a queen couldn't keep her subjects safe then what good was she? It was just a shame how she had let herself waste away in the ruins, wallowing in her own self-pity.
The old regent looked down at the child in her arms, kissed their forehead, and promised herself: never more.

Blurry, so blurry. Everything was dark and he couldn't focus his vision.
Something was wrong, very wrong. In his head, his eye, his chest, his soul..."where am i?" asked the blaster skeleton listlessly as he slowly raised his head from the pillow to look around. Or, at least he tried, but his neck seemed to fail to lift the weight of his head. No matter, he saw nothing beyond the blur anyway. Everything was spinning and his whole body ached with acute, throbbing pain.
Nausea threatened to make him heave raw magic and each beat of his soul felt almost viscous, adding to his belief that something was very wrong, and that he needed to move - now!
Very slowly, yet still, as fast as he could, he slowly raised a trembling hand to remove whatever covered his face, only to find out that there was nothing there. Then why did it feel like something was pressing him down?
His rib cage heaved with a strained breath as he tried to focus. It wasn't all dark, he realized. A dull light shone upon the room he was in. The only thing he saw were blurry contours of what he assumed to be bookshelves and storage desks. It reminded him of- but it couldn't be... No reset had ever gone that far back, it couldn't be.So, where was he then, he thought to himself. What happened?
A strange feeling or more intrusive thought kept urging him to get the hell out of wherever he was, but his body felt heavy and difficult to move. Like he was wading in molasses.
When he heard a voice talking to him his body tensed. Though he became more and more alert, his vision was still bad, like he was looking through a fish-eye lens and he couldn't see who it was. If anyone was even there, or if he was dreaming?
He tried to listen, breathlessly, but he couldn't hear what they said. The voice sounded alien and strange, why? Among the few impressions he managed to pick up, he did see that they were wearing a white coat, just like the scientists at the lab.
Sans' soul sank. A thousand thoughts struck his mind at the same time, and his eyes shot open.
Was he back at the lab, after all? After all this time, and countless resets? Did he never even leave? Where was Papyrus? Why was he here, and what was happening? Trying to put together what just happened was close to impossible with such a heavy impact on his mind. His thoughts tangled into each other.
Snowdin Forest suddenly popped up into his mind. He was there, he was, and they were... Frisk and Undyne, and-
