Izzy's POV

The colours of the river changed again and came back to the scene where Peter and Tinkerbelle  left for London to find Peter's shadow. It was night, and they were seen flying over the tall buildings, which stood in silent witness of the city's charm, and stretched out towards the sky. The scene zoomed in to one of the houses as they flew past it.

"And what is this symbol used for?"  A five year old Cubby (who is of same age in present as well) was heard speaking from the house. "Oh this one?" A man said pointing out to a triangular symbol on a map, "It is used to denote mountains"  "Oh, got it dad!" Cubby exclaimed. "Good!"  "Okay, enough for today Cubby, it's time for bed." His mother called out. "Why so early mom?" He whined. "Didn't I tell you dear? Tomorrow I and your dad are leaving for a voyage." His mom said. He folded his hands and knowingly looked away to show his disappointment, and said, "Dad, why do you always have to go on voyages? And mom this time, you're going too?!"  "You know your dad has to travel a lot, since he's a cartographer in the British government, and this time, he'll need a helping hand of mine too." His mother replied. "And why can't I go" Cubby asked in a low voice. "That's because you're too young for that voyage dear" His mom pinched his cheek. "And don't worry, when you grow up, I'll always take you along on voyages" His dad assured. "And, it's time to go to sleep," his mom added, "we have to leave early in the morning tomorrow, and before that we shall drop you to your Aunt's place. She'll take care of you" "okay mom, good night!" Cubby said as he went to bed.

"I am so glad that he's so curious to know about maps" His dad smiled. "Yes dear, one day he'll make us proud" Cubby's mom remarked.

Now, the river reflected the scene of the next morning, "I'll miss you, mom-dad" Cubby sniffled as his parents were about to leave from his Aunt's place (which is London only). "Don't worry son, we'll see you soon. It's just a one-week voyage" His parents bid him, "We'll return in no time!" But they never returned. The same day their ship sank into the sea due to an unexpected storm on their way. By night, after this sad news came, Cubby was thrown out of his Aunt's house. He was now homeless, he had no one to take care of him. He roamed through the streets of the city. Finally, he sat down beside a light pole, and gazed at the stars, "Why mom-dad? You had promised that you'd see me soon..." he hid his face between his knees and cried.

"Alright Tink, I agree that I'd not have catch ahold of my shadow without you, now let's head back to Neverland" Peter spoke to Tinkerbelle as they flew above London. He noticed a boy sitting near a light pole in one of the streets. They approached him, "Hey bud!" Cubby rubbed his eyes but could not believe what he saw. A boy who could fly and a fairy! At first, he was too scared to say anything and thought it was a dream. When he realised that he wasn't dreaming, he mustered up some courage to speak, "Who-who are y-you?" "I'm Peter Pan and this is Tinkerbelle!" Peter introduced themselves. "What are you doing here at this point time, little boy?" Peter asked him. "I-I.... I lost my parents.... forever" He sobbed. "Oh, I am so sorry kid" Peter said sadly, while Tinkerbelle wiped a tear from her eyes. She suddenly said something, but all Cubby heard was jingling of bells. "Good idea Tink!" Peter answered her. "Would you come to Neverland?" He asked Cubby.

"Neverland? Where's that?" Cubby queried.

"Second star to the right, and straight on till morning" Peter pointed out towards the sky.

"Y-yes, I'll come" He agreed.

"Good boy! What is your name?"

"My name is Robert, Robert Andrews, but you can call me Cubby."

"Okay Cubby! C'mon Tink, we need some more pixie dust"

And they flew off towards the second star to the right.

Once they reached Neverland, they headed towards the Hangman's Tree.

"Hey guys! Look I've got a new friend." Peter announced. The boys, including Izzy, circled around them and chorused, "A new friend! A new friend!" Cubby hesitated to talk to them, so Izzy encouraged him to talk and play.

The scene again changes and Cubby seems to get well along with the lost boys and Izzy. He had found a map and was explaining it to his friends. "And why are these mountain areas shown in different colours?" Slightly asked him. "That shows the various altitudes of the terrain" He explained. "Way hey Cubby" They cheered for him. "Thank you, thank you!" The lost boys' Cubby replied. "We are not cheering for you" The twins yelled at him, who in return slapped them. Soon, they all started playing.

It seemed like Cubby was deeply shaken after what he saw. I and Jake hugged him as he silently wept. Skully joined in too. "That explains it all Cubby, no wonder why you're a great navigator, after all your dad was a cartographer, and you should be proud of that." Jake said. "And you're indeed so brave Cubby" I added. "Y-yes Jake, and thanks Izzy, you've taken care of me like a sister since the very first day I reached Neverland, and you continue to do so." I hugged him even tighter. Holding each other's hands, we watched the river changing its reflection, as its colours blended together to unfold Jake's past....

Author's note: I know, I know, y'll must have expected Jake's past here, but I wrote Cubby's  first because it was supposed to be like this. My apologies to everyone:P

And yes, Cubby was also of the same age as he is now when all this had taken place. So why doesn't he remember? As mentioned earlier, I'll answer this in the upcoming chapters.
