song; no body, no crime//taylor swift
pairing; Andrea and Loki
Andrea's POV
The perfume that filled my nostrils wasn't my own.
I could feel my heart sink as the hug was not long, nor was it meaningful to him.
"How are you, my love?"
Could he stand there and call me love and ask me how I am doing and not mean a single thing that comes out of his mouth? The answer is obvious. Yes, he can. He may be titled the god of mischief, but right now, he seems more like the god of lies.
"I am fine," I simply stated. Loki couldn't sense the coldness that was in my tone because he did not care.
We both went about our days, living in this web of distrust and dishonesty, each day getting harder and harder to contain my emotions.
Why couldn't I just leave him? We weren't married, and he had no intention of proposing any time soon. He was spending more nights with the who truly has his heart.
I just can't wrap my head and my own heart around this, around the life I have been living.
I love Loki, even after all this time and everything that has happened. There is still love there.
Most days, I am left alone with my own thoughts, just sitting around wondering when things will slowly start to surface. Today is not like most, however. Today I decided to go on a walk. As I left the gates of my home, I took a deep breath. It was a beautiful day, but I felt there was a disaster around the corner.
And it indeed was because as I rounded the corner, I bumped into a not-so-familiar face but a familiar scent.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" She gave me the sweetest smile, which only made me despise her a little more.
"It's okay." It wasn't.
Her sweet smile became even more prominent when she heard a familiar voice from behind her.
"Hello, love!"
My heart stopped because for a moment, and I thought he was talking to me. But he was indeed talking to the woman I was facing. He was smiling from ear to ear until he saw who was standing in front of her.
"Andrea," rolled off his tongue in almost a whisper.
The women standing next to him noticed the shift in his tone and the atmosphere.
"You two know one another?" She asked as she was trying to get some clarity.
"We used to be really good friends," I coldly and boldly stated. And before he could even utter a word, I walked away. Loki was physically alive but mentally, to me, he was dead.
