Vanessa's POV
He filled my head with lots of love, but he also filled my head with a few lies. I know that right now, he is lying to me. He said he was with Steve, but I just saw Steve in the compound. I had asked Steve if he knew where Bucky was, and he said that Bucky told him that he was with me. He wasn't. He is even lying to his best friend.
When he got back home, he gave me a big smile and a hug. To which I didn't reply with the same energy, and he noticed.
"What's wrong?" He sounded concerned which I wasn't sure if I believed him or not.
"Where were you? Because Steve has been here all night as have I?"
He was taken aback by my question, which was also met with a statement.
"Vanessa," he began. He looked defeated.
"Are you cheating on me?"
"What? NO! Never!" He sounded offended and upset.
"Where have you been then?"
Bucky sighed before speaking, "Vanessa, I love you with all my heart. I am not good with relationships, and you know that. But with you, everything makes sense. I know I have been distant, but that is only because I got us our own place, and I was trying to surprise you with it. I could never cheat you on."
I was speechless.
"Bucky, I am so sorry."
He pulled me into a hug, a tight one, and spoke softly, "it's okay, my love. We may fight, but our love is stronger."
